Yes, I recall what the judge said. I was thinking whether he buried the clothes he wore to commit the murder on the return journey or burned them in the Aga. On second thoughts there were specks of blood detected on clothing in the wardrobe at Bourtree Cottage, so he may not have discarded apparel at all.

I don't think nothing was ever made of it and it's probable the blood came from an accident due to farm work.
