To be perfectly fair to Adam there's a 50/50 chance he would be caught in the twins room.

If he was though Bamber would negate him there.

Bamber was 24 years old, fitter, faster and had the element of surprise in his favour. Nevill 61, had been shot four times.

I believe he would catch him very easily.

Nevill crashing into the twins room would wake them.

Bamber, even if he couldn't catch nevill, who be preoccupied with chasing nevill downstairs.

The twins first port of call would be to go to their mum for comfort and wake her.

That's three people awake now. ( not including nevill)

Nevill and Bamber fighting downstairs

This is why I don't believe the twins room escape is feasible. Evidence doesn't point to it.

So CAL's scenario is Bamber went downstairs to re load after shooting the twins with shots 10 & 11.

Nevill followed right behind via the main bedroom door & opposite staircase.

Nevill may try to barricade the door.

If he is successful, a frustrated Bamber will run onto the landing to enter through the other door.

Whilst Bamber is doing that. Nevill would either use the time to get the twins and shut himself in the master bedroom.

I thought Nevill was strong enough to put up a 10 minute struggle in the kitchen.

If being shot at, you would run in the opposite direction to the shooter. His only exit was the box room if Bamber was going to move towards him.

If you believe Bamber would catch him as Nevill would stop to check on the twins, that is fine.

None of that happened as he was found in the kitchen.

So either followed Bamber or was chased.

Me & CAL don't believe Nevill stopped to check on anyone upstairs.

He either followed Bamber straight away, or was chased via one of the 2 bedroom exits & 3 stair cases

Exactly my point. This is why I believe he went via the main door.

As these are options that would have happened had Nevill gone via the boxroom.

If the doorway was open and clear he would go that direction.

To be fair it's not a bad theory. The twins room is an option.

I just believe it didn't happen because there's so many different things that could have taken place.

If Nevill was being chased via the box room, the evidence is he got downstairs via one of the 3 stair cases.

So obviously he did not stop to check on the twins, as Bamber was less than 10 seconds behind.

The evidence points to the main door as the most likely.

Nevill was six foot 4 and 16 stone, no doubting he was stronger and bigger than Jeremy.

However I don't believe he was quicker. He was almost 40 years older, had a bad back and had been shot 4 times already.

Even though Bamber was standing next to it?

Agree Nevill would use this door if following Bamber -  CAL scenario.

Not quicker. But would have a head start.

Once on a stair case Nevill would not be attacked. Better to attack on a flat surface.

Agree Nevill would use this door if following Bamber -  CAL scenario.

I think the doorway entry would have been clear.

Bamber stood in a different part of the room.

Bamber turning his attention to June.

Nevill may have been able to throw Bamber out of the way with his strength. As we both agree a 6 foot 4 16 stone Nevill is a hard prospect to face.

Bamber may have been taken aback by his inability to kill Nevill
