Ooh!! A scar was it, Snow? I have several of those. Legacies of old wounds once the scabs had come off. Are you seriously asking us to believe that, within a time-frame of a few hours, one of Sheila's nails made  contact with her little boy's skin, cause it to break/tear/split and bleed, form a scab which came off and left a scar?

Serious note I just don't see it feasible him going to shoot two little boys first. Eradicate the biggest threat first.

Once the biggest threat was taken care of, ( Nevill) the pressure was off.

The twins would be more a nuisance to Bamber than a threat t If disturbed and woke they may run around and cause him to chase them.

As it happened the evidence shows they remained soundly asleep.

I will always believe had nevill gone in that room to the staircase he would have checked upon them. With Bamber in pursui and a confrontation would have taken place in there. And there would be evidence of which.

If he ascented up one of the back stair cases, there door is the first he would come to.

If Nevill followed Bamber downstairs, it is most likely he exited out of the main bedroom door.

Bamber was no longer standing near this door as had gone to re load. The stair case by that door leads to the kitchen.

I finally found the reference in Colin's book to the scar on Nicholas' cheek, which occurred when he broke a glass coffee table as a toddler.

CAL's scenario does not say whether Nevill checked on June, Daniel, Nicholas & Sheila before following Bamber downstairs.

It is doubtful he did as it would have given Bamber the time to re load & return.

It would have been a pretty instant decision to follow rather than wait until he returned upstairs.

Knowing himself & June had definately been shot, Nevill must have felt the priority was stopping a re load.

Nevill crashing into the twins room would wake them.

Bamber, even if he couldn't catch nevill, who be preoccupied with chasing nevill downstairs.

The twins first port of call would be to go to their mum for comfort and wake her.

That's three people awake now. ( not including nevill)

This is why I don't believe the twins room escape is feasible. Evidence doesn't point to it.
