Bamber has always been very vague on his 'jilting'.

Police interviews - 'jilted love'.

Trial - 'She had been jilted'.

----------

The CT focus on him asking another woman out in front of Julie.

Her WS confirms that did happen, but by then she had already left him & told 5 other people. They also met after that when Bamber helped her move.

He adopted a sarcastic approach.

I don't think he treated it with the seriousness it deserved

He was bailed after five days.

Reality only probably hit when the cuffs were slapped on him at Dover.

It's amazing how many people take the WS of Julie as gospel and a hundred percent accurate account then slate Jeremy Bamber for saying " no comment " a few times during five days of grilling interviews having never been in trouble with the police before

Over 30 'No comments' & 'can't remembers'. Over 10 -don't knows' & 'can't say'.

Several one word answers as well as vague answers such as 'not really', 'I think so'  & 'less than 40 but more than 10 !'
'Only I know what really happened that night'.

30 no comments? I've read the transcripts

The question of " less than 40 more than ten " was a reply to asking him how many t shirts he owned.

Just need information on the big jilting. That left Julie so upset she accused him of killing his own family.

It has been 39 years.

At the moment Julie left him to return to her life in London & escape the situation. Jolly ups were not for her & Brett wasn't helping things.

They then kept in contact until her police approach.

You are the only one saying " big jilting "

He ended the relationship, there was no big jilting, it's a simple sofa conversation

He wasn't getting divorced from a royal.

He was leaving a 21 year old student from Colchester

What's this" big jilting " spiel

Just need to know when. Whether big or small.

And why it left Julie so upset she went to the police and accused him of killing his own family!

Only Julie can answer that.

Believe the CT narrative is the jilting is the 4th September - asking another woman out in front of her.

However Julie had left him 8 days earlier & told 5 people. She also met him 2 days later when he helped her move. So not devastated.

So why isn't it in Julie's 23 page WS? Everything else is.

Or Bambers. Or Bretts.

Both sides need to go by the evidence. Imaginary front door keys, steep inclines & jilting conversations don't help things.

The main reasons for Julie leaving Bamber on the 27th would be -

Couldn't handle the situation anymore - in her WS.

Constant jolly ups not for her.

Had a life & career in London.

Brett was always around.

----------

She kept in contact with him until the 7th September.

Once back in London she felt safe to tell other people which escalated to the police approach.

Bambers WS are from August 85. Prior to Julie's.

Brett probably didn't want to spill the beans on a close friends personal life

Brett was only arrested because of his association with Jeremy. Once it was established he was in Greece at the material time he was freed promptly

She obviously had to tell her friends in London Adam!
They would be asking about JB and she would have to tell them it was all over between them in a flood of tears!
Unfortunately things got out of hand, and to avoid feeling shame or inadequasy in front of them for being dumped, she exaggerated how evil JB had been towards her and eventually said that he had even killed his family!
From then on there was no going back!
