There is an issue regarding the light in the main bedroom.I covered this in detail several years ago. Unfortunately the image host seems to have expired so you will have to make do with what I have written for the time being.Around 4am that morning. Bews along with Myall and Jeremy approach the scene till they get to the wall around 30 yards from the kitchen door. That is the wall shown here belowBews in his pocket book wrote the following. - "Looking at the rear of the house I could seethe following. ground floor to the right of our position, behind kitchen light oncurtains open, no signs of life. First floor - centre -lights on curtains drawnclosed (1) left of centreorange curtains with light shinning behind (2) to right of centre green curtains with light shining behind"He then writes - "We then moved to an adjoining field to our right. and moved toview the side of the house"Their movements depicted here.Bews then noted down the following. _______ "1st floor centre landing light on. curtains open. Nosigns of life. It appeared from our positions about30 yards from the housethat all doors and windows were shut and secure"Bews has stated that he can see light in the centre window. He has written landing but drawn a line through it. This was was shortly before they all returned back to CA07 to call for armed backup around 4am. However three hours later, PC Mildenhall visits the same location as Bew's did earlier that morning. The situation with the lights have changed. The room to the left with its window partly open (where sheila was found) now has its light on. With no mention of the centre light being on (as Bew's observed). . This was thirty minutes prior to the RAID team entering the building. PC Mildenhall's account is corroborated by the photos taken that morning. We can see the light bulb shining in the left window. And nothing in the centre window contrary to what Bews observed. Now the centre room windows light does not necessarily have to have been switched off. There are two other possibilities. With the sun now up, it wont be possible to see if the light bulb is on if its not in view of the rooms window. Likewise the bulb shining in daylight would not be visible from that window if Bews initial description of it being from the landing is correct. Which leads to the final question. How can the main bedroom light be switched off around 4am and then be switched on at 7am? To claim Bews got the wrong window is not only weak but its problematic considering that the window to the left that he observed as being dark, is the same window that he claims to have seen a reflection of the moonlight. That is only possible if the light in that room was switched off. So who switched the light on?
Shelia Caffell or Crispy
Or June? After all the EP narrative is that she walked around the bed. Did she do it in the dark. If the light was on or off I cannot see how she manged to walk around the bed without tripping over the quilt or how there is no indentation in this bedding.
This is the first time I have seen this document. It claims that lights were being turned on and off whilst Bamber was outside with the coppers. It can only be either doctored, slack paperwork or genuine I guess.
You have a point there Bubo! Why is there a quilt lying there anyway?
I believe I have posted about this before. No Names No Pack drill. A little Dickie Bird told me the following. A few days after the incident it was noticed that there were some photos that were not taken as instructed or were needed.DB was sent back to WHF to take these photos. When he arrived, to his horror he found that some carpets in the main bedroom were in the process of being removed. In order to disguise this he had to replace some that were outside the building and manipulate other items to conceal this fact. I guess he used the quilt to coverup this activity. A lot would depend on the dates since JB had given permission for their removal on the Wednesday .
But it must have been taken on the day of the murder Bubo,Junes body is still lying there isn't it?
Bews states that he is talking about 'the side' of the house. There is no mistaking the front of the house for the side.
Your right I must have misremembered a previous post around this issue. Maybe it was another photo which I queried.
But you are right Bubo, what on earth was a quilt doing there for June to trip up on?Surely she didn't place it there herself before going to bed? So who did and why?You have spotted another strange out of place item Bubo, just like the pile of cushions beside the Aga!
Disbelief. Panic. Terror. Not unreasonable to believe she was experiencing all three. Possibly she clutched it to her, without thinking/pulled it off, when she got out of bed.
