Why did Brett support Jeremy through the trial then before heading off to NZ?

Thought Brett had gone after Bamber was arrested when returning from St Tropez.

No jolly ups, no Brett.

Would have still been arrested at some point. Probably on the same day.

That is what Ainsley said.

Which makes me think Bamber didn't say it and he was bullshitting in the first instance.

Bamber was in jail on remand by then, of course there were no " jolly ups"

Brett was pictured with Angela Greaves I think during committal hearings. I then believed he followed from afar after returning back to NZ.

After the conviction obviously the relationship halted. Unsure if Jeremy and Brett stayed in touch in the interim years. I never heard Jeremy mention his name years ago.

This is really saying 'I was there'.

As is 'only I know what really happened'.

Brett would not believe how violent the kitchen fight was & how badly injured Nevill was. Together with other things.

That is true.

Why it took Brett almost 37 years is down to him.

Of course though, it could have been pure revisionism by Brett

I think the overriding feeling any normal person would have is simply in those circumstances " am I on holiday with a self confessed multiple murderer or not " ( including two defenceless children )

Can imagine such a revalation can damage a friendship

Possibly due to the money motive or out of loyalty. Who knows?

Probably the latter

Probably too pissed up to cycle....

Did the defence at trial dispute the possibility of him cycling?

I have never read anything.

Suspect it was the same situation as entering/exiting WHF - the prosecution just had to prove it was possible. There was no point in the defence disputing that.

It was in response to what you said about wondering what Wilkinson was doing. It was a joke.

The furthest I walk is to my nearest train station. Which is 0.7 miles. That takes 20 minutes and I'm a fast walker.

So walking 4.2 miles would take 2 hours. So that is ruled out.

He would have had to arrive at WHF before midnight. People may still be awake.

Seems walking was ruled out early on. The prosecution going with cycling.

Guest29835 and Rob still believe he walked.

If anybody had seen him on the outward journey he would have had to abort it. ( That's of course if he even noticed he'd been clocked

Inward journey, game over.

There was always a risk of being seen. Car bike or walk Bamber cant account for people's schedules patterns

Yes a risk of being seen. But a risk worth taking with the rewards.

The Sea Wall was a dream route to minimise the 'being seen' risk. Providing he had a bike.
