Google Maps shows it is as wide as Pages Lane.

Google earth is more reliable.

That lane leads into fields way before the sea wall he would have to go into fields and we have no idea of the incline or anything.

Anyway as everyone can see who goes onto Google Maps, there is a path which runs along the side of the fields. From The Sea Wall to Pages Lane.

This is wide & will be cycle/walk friendly. It is 0.4 miles long.

Even the OS says this is one of the routes he may have taken.
