He probably just went the route via car the way he went to work on a daily basis.

If it was through Goldhanger and Tollshunt D'arcy I'm not surprised over 500 people were interviewed.

If he was paranoid at all he could park on pages lane and saunter down

Seems he would have to drive through TD to get to Pages Lane.

Then walk down Pages Lane. Avoiding the other properties on Pages Lane.

The distance from the beginning of Pages Lane (from the B1023) to the properties where the farm workers worked is 322 metres.

Assume Bamber would park around 200 metres from these properties. Then walk.

If he wanted to avoid walking past these properties, he would have to leave Pages Lane and walk across a field which leads to the side of WHF. This would increase the walking distance.

Cycling the prosecution route would give the option of cycling right up to WHF.

He would cycle past Wyke Farm on Pages Lane. Total distance 150 metres.

This would be silently and quickly. Pages Lane has no street lighting.

The building where there are cars looks to be around 50 metres wide. This is quite a long way from Pages Lane.

The other buildings look like barns & are partially covered by trees.

He would not cycle past the WHF properties where the farm workers lived.

Driving the route would put him on pages lane. He could park the car and saunter down.

The roads obviously cycling wise would be pitch black, although marginally better than the none starter sea wall scenario.

A sixteen minute low risk drive.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt before.

I assumed you didn't have the capacity to work out people have vision at night.

Now me & Killingeve have  provided hundreds of independent sources that people have vision at night, it can only be assumed you are being a disruptive poster again.

'Saunter' 200 yards down Pages Lane. Walking across fields.

After driving past 500 people and security cameras in Goldhanger and Tollshunt D'arcy.

No time or energy saved but a massive risk.

Quicker to cycle the route he would drive

He would not have to cycle through TD or walk 200 metres.

If he's going to cycle he might as well spend an extra 5 minutes and avoid all roads.

The lane from the road leads direct to the farm.

The lane from the sea wall goes through fields

Bamber and RB confirming so.

That is something you can confirm on your visit - whether a car can travel past Brook House Farm onto the B1023.

If it's not suitable he would have to drive through TD. Which would explain 500+ people interviewed.

You are the one who says Bamber couldn't cycle along the edge of fields. Now you are saying a car can drive along them.

Wilkinson said this route sections terrain was very good.......for cycling.

Midweek

Deserted roads

No amenities open at that time

People sleeping

Good odds to drive

The properties on the journey are set far back.

They will not record the road, just the property, in the event they did hae security cameras.

They would not pick up Bambers astra.

And even if in the event they did pick up a car it would be a side view and a positive ID could not be made, they probably would even have trouble guessing the make of the car, Bambers barrister could turn round and say " well that could be anyone "

It was 1985, technology in it's infancy only a personal visual ID of Bamber would suffice.

Looking again it does look likely that a car could drive along it.

The track adjoins two main roads, the B1026 & B1023.

EP looked at the route as a possible cycle/walking route.

Obviously walking would take too long and be too tiring.

The terrain for cycling the route was so good, a car could make the journey!

CAL said he cycled this route.
