I'm not sure that there is much public interest in parading Jeremy Bamber on TV to show how handsome and polite he is. Thus 'proving' his innocence.
Bamber would have to explain all the fake evidence he has put out as press releases to newspapers since being in prison.
He would - for example - have to explain the fake blood photos that were published 20 years ago.
How did that happen?
An innocent look and a shoulder shrug and a polite 'I wish I knew'...will just condemn him even more.
Jeremy Bamber has for the last 30 odd years been like a fox caught in some netting.
The more the fox tries to wriggle free, the tighter the netting becomes, and the fox slowly cuts off the blood flow to varying parts of its body and eventually dies.
Jeremy Bambers fake evidence scam over the last 30 years has served only to solidify and cement his guilt.
A TV interview would just condemn Jeremy Bamber even more. People know propaganda when they see it.
You more or less make my point
Of course it garners exposure for him but it also puts him on the spot if asked difficult questions. It also allows him to get caught either changing his story or getting caught in a lie. On air.
If this ever happened, it may be years away. Due to current legislation. However I don't believe it should be a " oh poor Jeremy " interview just a straight fifty fifty down the line. Ask the awkward questions
