Murder on the Doorstep: the case of Alistair Wilson.
« on: November 30, 2023, 05:55:PM »
He was a 30-year old married father of two, living in Nairn, Scotland, when he was gunned down on the doorstep 19 years ago this month. https://youtu.be/-4zV1vUaITg

You're nobody in the village if you don't frequent the local pub.

I think the murder germinated therefrom.

Peter Bleksley  put out an appeal yesterday. He wants to track the person he spoke to last year who claimed that people had told him that they had seen guns at the home of a suspect.

Is the suspect the person whom Alastair had an argument with over the establishment across the road from  him? https://www.facebook.com/reel/1679464736385915

By the way: I do like your name on this site. It's very stylish.

What a lovely thing to say, thank you Steve_uk

I don`t know the answer to your question, that is all Peter`s post said.

From memory there was some dispute with the owner of the Havelock Hotel regarding some decking he had built opposite Alastair's property. I think that's the most likely explanation for the murder, though it could be unrelated.

Apparently the suspect was all lined up to be arrested in 2023 but for reasons only known to Police Scotland, it didn`t happen.

The suspect`s name has been bandied about in different places.

I have watched the documentary a couple of times, I might watch it again to refresh my memory.

Like so many other cases it is a strange one.

There's a video here, since the original seems to have disappeared: https://youtu.be/dPT243p_lWg
