Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996
« on: October 21, 2023, 12:49:PM »
Is it a coincidence that many exhibits were destroyed in 1996 including Sheila's nightdress, the same year as the CPIA Act came into being?

I came across this after reading a attachment that was part of a post by Cc.

The nightdress was obviously destroyed to prevent future testing with better techniques. The police are absolutely shocking in this case; and it's just another example that the case has been actively managed over the years to prevent the truth from coming to light.

From memory I believe that because his case was not deemed " live" due to the fact it was 7 years after the first appeal and five before he got a CCRC referral they used this reason for their actions.

Course from Jeremy's own perspective his case  has been live from the moment he got convicted as he's been fighting to prove his innocence from day one

I do agree that you are more than likely correct roch for the record
