What's the gist of Kitty?  Yes you are right, they must serve a custodial for what they did.

Well apparently she covered up the abuse. But Erik confessed the murders to his psychologist. It was also convenient for the brothers that their mother was out of the way, opening the doors to a $2 million inheritance each.
