I have already argued that the TFG accidently shot June. And I have set this out in this post.
https://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11579.msg533789.html#msg533789The police were in a very difficult situation and they had to find a way of organising matters to explain what had happened at the inquest. Still desperate people can do desperate things.
A lot would depend on what and if, June had by way of other injuries apart from the shot between the eyes.
They also had a further problem in that in moving her to her side of the bed, blood had dripped around the bed and the bedding had been stained where they laid her down. This moving was essential to minimise the staining of the carpet where she fell.
They decided to set things up so it looked as if she had been shot in bed but most of her wounds apart from the shot between the eyes were according to PV not life threatening. However it did help to give reasoning for the bed stains
They wanted to show that she had played little if any role in the events of the evening
This was easy to fake up to a point because it merely meant arranging the casings required to fit the story they wished to tell. This could have been done partly on the day and maybe after. That applied to both paperwork and photography.
Some of Birds pictures were out of sequence because they were shot on a different day and I seem to remember he offered up a plausible reason for his revisiting the bedroom on the day. The fact that the box room door is closed might suggest not on the day.
I now turn to this photo
https://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=887.0;attach=39404;imageThe only evidential role it plays is
TO GIVE CREDENCE TO THE LIE THAT JUNE WAS SHOT INITIALLY IN HER BED. It serves no other purpose. The body and its positioning are not shown for example.
I have previously posted why I think it does not work, for me at least, because of the nature and positioning of the bed stains. We must also consider that some of this staining was deposited from the arms/sleeves of those that moved her.
Without knowing how many other shots June had received prior to the ‘kill’ shot I think it possible that they shot her another three times. Once in the temple to draw attention away from the shot between the eyes to make it less suspicious given the gross inaccuracy of the other victims injuries but also the arm and knee shots which would further enhance the notion that she played no role in the events of the evening because her injuries rendered her mechanically disabled. She was out of the equation almost entirely.
