Well one piece of forensic evidence is the silencer.

My view is he would use a silencer and no sights in a silent massacre attempt.

This has been mentioned by RB, PE & DB.

They suggest it looks new. None said they had seen it before.

The silencer was probably made of Titanium which over time will be covered with a oxide layer, this oxide layer is quite easy to scratch exposing the original metal underneath.

Or at any time before or after, if the silencer was really involved in a titanic life or death struggle it would have had more than a scratch on it.
