I watched a doco on Sky last night about the Rachel Nickell case. It featured Colin Hogg the guy framed by the Police. Don't think you could find a worse example of bad Policing.
And even the Police investigating earlier rape murders carried out by the actual perpetrator were equally as incompetent. Had they done their job properly Rachel Nickell wouldn't have been murdered.
I agree and the honey trap and the Psychologist profiling used to snare him was beyond recognition.

I crunched the numbers after the UK election.
Deciding to play around with my calculator and apply the election results to NZ's MMP system, as opposed to the UK's FPP system.
I know that people may vote differently under a different system. But let's assume voters voted for their preferred party without being influenced by their constituent MP.  As was the case with Andrew Bridgen.
Here are the results under NZ's MMP system.

Labour = 224
Tories = 158
Reform = 95
Lib Dems =81
Greens = 46
Scottish National = 16
Sinn Fein = 7
Democratic Union Party = 5
Independent = 6
Plaid Cymru = 4
Alliance=3
Social Democratic Labour = 2
Ulster Union = 2
Trade Union Voice = 1

(Maybe a Labour/ Lib Dem / Green coalition.)

Thats interesting, I think Labour would have to do a coalition with two Parties to gain Control, I couldn’t see the Tories or Reform agreeing,  maybe the Libs and Greens?

There family home was less than 24 miles north west my town. Mitford in Northumberland.
Interesting, so was the Town named after the Family Roch?  I’ve also found,  Churchills wife was second Cousin to the Mitford Sisters.  How ironic, they were related to Churchill through his wife and some sisters were friends with Hitler at the same time?

Yes Jane my daughters watched it.  I’ve always been interested in them,  especially with links to Chatsworth House.

Her sisters were Diana, Oswald Moseley's wife and a committed Nazi, and Jessica who was an active Communist.
They were both imprisoned in May 1940. Diana was incarcerated in Holloway, where she remained until November 1943: https://youtu.be/lzkbouKG830

A cautionary tale for a man with money succumbing all to readily to a female's demands. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/sunday-people/20230604/282059101388809?srsltid=AfmBOooAKXHAe_x-cz4Unj9P9CC8sLg0wswAkNp9E_9FvVRXilATVpIR

Thats the one I watched Steve in St Peter’s Square.  I’m all for freedom of speech ETC, but they were warned and the Police gave them plenty of time but they chose to get Arrested?
Campaign group Defend Our Juries, which had announced the rallies "to defy" the ban, said 86 people had been arrested across five different cities.

They included four vicars, a lawyer, a civil servant, a social worker, a mechanical engineer and the daughter of a Polish resistance fighter, as well as veterans of the 1960s civil rights movement, the group added.

Four Vicars🙈. Wonder what the Church will say to this?  The Video I watched in Manchester not one Muslim was holding the Placard up in support of Palestine action, all were white Protesters?  Was that a ploy or just a coincidence?  Not sure what to make of it really?

Manchester Police…….. At around 2.30pm this afternoon (Saturday 12 July 2025) we responded to a protest taking place in St Peter’s Square. 16 people were arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000.  The group peacefully dissipated at around 3.25pm.
As of Saturday 5 July, the direct action group Palestine Action (PA) is a proscribed under the Terrorism Act 2000 which means that it is now a terrorism offence to:
Belong to Palestine Action
Express support for PA, either in person or online, including through social media
Arrange a meeting in support of PA
Wear clothing or carry articles (including flags or signs) expressing support for PA

I thought Priests and clergy were supposed to be Non- Partisan. I know they’re protesting in support for Palestine action, but it’s the Governments decision to label them Terrorist Group?  It says they can attend but not take part?

The suspicion will remain that it is easy to arrest a small clique of Caucasian protesters than a huge mass of ethnically Asian individuals spewing out their hatred on the streets of a country which has given them a home.

Wasn't there some remark she made a few years ago when visiting a hospital in her constituency how blond  the nurses were..https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12029702.abbott-denies-attack-on-nurses-was-racist/
