They have started package holidays to Argentina. https://www.loveholidays.com/holidays/?destinationIds=3124&nights=7&rooms=2&flexibility=0

For retirees there's still the frozen pension issue. https://rossnaylor.com/frozen-state-pension/
I always wanted to go there Steve, The Mario Kempes and Ossie era in Football was for me the finest occasion of any World Cup [other than England] the passion from the fans just electrified me, i was gutted about the Falklands invasion, i had a friend in the Para's who went and it left me a little sour after.  I didn't like the Marradona era although they were great, the Falklands War had an effect.

I think I'd have to pretend to be an American or German if I went there. They have a Malvinas stadium in Mendoza and a chain of chemist's shops named Malvinas. It's still an open sore.

Argentina in economic collapse as annual inflation hits 113%

Annual inflation in Argentina is at 113 per cent, its highest in more than 30 years. It has pushed 40 per cent of the population into poverty as soaring prices outstrip wages.

The crisis escalated last week when the central bank raised interest rates to 118 per cent from 97 per cent to halt a sell-off in government bonds and the Argentine peso, which hit a record low against the dollar.

Inflation forced officials to devalue the peso by 18 per cent on Monday, which some economists expect to fuel inflation further, possibly sending it to 150 per cent.

The latest crash was sparked when Milei, a self-described ‘anarcho-capitalist’ and Donald Trump admirer, won the first round in the presidential elections.

Depends what part of Ireland Roch and If you like rain,  the average rainfall in the South and East of the Country is about 150 days of rain a year, while the West Coast gets about 225 days a year.

Not for me. I think my retirement will be spent in The Chesters or The Willows.

I just heard that the standard of living in Ireland had rocketed in recent years.

I'm sorry for the Argentinians, but if your pension is in £ sterling you're not affected financially.

I agree you have to factor in the frozen State Pension. I think that happens in all Latin American countries, sadly.

There's a list of the 13 cheapest countries here. I wouldn't retire anywhere without an established Christian community. https://expatra.com/articles/retire/cheapest-countries-to-retire/
