27 February 2026We committed in November to provide an update on the report at the end of this month. Drafting on the report is very well advanced. As part of preparation for publication, the Inquiry will continue its business as usual, which includes uploading documents to the website, sending warning letters to those who may be subject to explicit or significant criticism, and working with publishers. It is anticipated that it will soon be possible to provide a final draft of the report to the publishers, where the report will undergo copyediting, typesetting and proofreading, all necessary to finalise and prepare the report for publication. These are standard steps all statutory inquiries must take before publishing a report. We will provide a further update after Easter.
