Six billion owed in CT arrears.

Seems people accept they will lose possessions once the bailiffs arrive.

Controlled goods agreement.

They have very little choice.

Some years back a friend of mine was in this position. He rang me to come to his house to smooth the situation. I tried to reason with the bailiff etc etc.  police were called. Police will not get involved to stop the bailiff they are only there to keep the peace and see that it's carried out without any peace breaching

All boils down the the old addage " don't spend beyond your means"

I have seen families searching out foodbanks and in the same breath driving HP cars and waxing money on all inclusive holidays electronic gadgets. It's quite simple really.

Furthermore if you haven't got a pot to piss on no consumer material goods and are practically insolvent then it's hard to recover the debt anyway. Only thing that can happen is attachment from earnings or benefits. For the latter or would be a meagre amount

Well, if they don't pay their CT the bailiffs will return again with another court order, surely? How are you supposed to live in the meantime with no domestic apparatus in the flat?

If memory serves me correct they cannot take basic household goods like bed, fridge sofa etc. mainly material goods. I think there is a clause that a vehicle cannot be recovered if it's on HP or if the person needs it for their employment purpose.

I have worked with guys in the past who are more or less waxing their monthly income on a HP car. These were not teenagers living at home with their parents. They were family men and not ostensibly wealthy. It baffles me.

If you have the money buy it, If you don't save up or go with out.

Madness to me how people get locked into credit agreement for expensive vehicles to show off ( when nobody gives a fuck ) and when the vehicle loses thousands as soon as it's off the forecourt.

If we're not careful it will be back to the 1970s: inflation, unemployment, stagflation. Younger members are  in for a treat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjqe82lk5g5o

Covid has become a useful, go to, fall back. Wonder if they'll still be using it in 5 years time?

It seems they're about to take the Winter Fuel Payment off pensioners. It's a pity there's not more carrot and stick with the workshy.

The current riots are because Starmer is very pro immigration.

His only pre election pledge was to 'smash the gangs' abroad. Which is impossible as he has no power abroad & disolved gangs will just be replaced.

He scrapped the Rwanda plan which may have worked if it got off the ground. Seems he is welcoming all new entrants, legal or illegal.

Does anyone know what the UK offers that France doesn't?

Migrants are prepared to make dangerous trips across the channel from France.

Is the UK the only country that offers all legal & illegal entrances hotels, benefits & healthcare.

I have to pay thousands for a week in Tenerife!

Well, you answered your own question Adam. Additionally they may not speak French and have connections in England to the black economy, where they can work because we don't have identity cards or are not tough enough on employers taking on casual labour.

A new policy could be if someone arrives with no identification, they are sent straight back.

Read that a lot of people arrive with no passport, phone of paperwork.

Be obvious they entered the country illegally by boat.

The problem is France will say they don't want them & we wouldn't know where to send them. This is where the Rwanda plan may have worked
