Nevill
« on: August 02, 2022, 09:36:PM »
This is the guy who I sympathise with most out of all this scenario. From a father speaking about another father The deaths of Daniel and Nicholas broke my heart. But the strain the guy was under. I believe he was under it considerably

: A wife with mental illness
: A daughter with mental illness
: A son who was a pain in the arse.
: Running a successful business. Which drains you.
: Keeping it all together.

In all my time studying this case. I've never heard a detrimental word about this man. Ex RAF served his country. A true gentleman. His circumstances and conversation to Barbara Wilson I believe reflect the general outlook of his life.

Nevill probably kept his emotions in. As men tend to do. I reckon he was under a lot of emotional strain personally. Back in 85 and especially of a man of his standing expressing your feelings was unheard of.

If yesterday you hated me. Then today you can not stop the love that binds from me to you. And you to me

I agree with you entirely as I too had every sympathy for Nevill for whom it must have been a living Hell at times, particularly latterly as both women, June especially had been seeing her GP for weeks leading up to the murders.

You have to ask yourself who drove who mad. Was it a difficult Sheila when she was growing up or was it June's religious psychosis that made Sheila worse than what she was ? Nevill had been caught in the middle of it all and maybe the only happiness he had was when the twins were there to have fun with.
We all know that both parents were forever funding both siblings, they acted as a safety net in the finance department.
Both June and Nevill had Sheila and Jeremy's best interests at heart at all times.

Nevill had non-disclosed wounds.

I believe he was happiest when he was with the boys. Daniel and Nicholas.

A break from the strain

It's a testament to the mental strength of nevill how he kept it all together

Those, now few remaining, who knew him, have described him as being enormous fun, wickedly flirtatious, and unfailingly fair, trusted and respected by all.
