On the one hand, we have the evidence of the police surgeon, Dr Craig, and PI 'Bob' Miller, who viewed Sheila's body at :44am, at a time when both report that Sheila was dead on the bedroom floor with a solitary wound to the neck. Yet, less than half an hour previously, members of the raid team had entered the bedroom and found Sheila with two wounds on her neck/throat - these officers gave evidence about this in the form of a composite witness statements, which had been edited and prepared for them by the DPP representative, Mr Adams...

Now...

How could Sheila possibly have two wounds to her neck/throat at about 8:10am, and yet by the time the police surgeon, Dr Craig and PI Miller arrive on the scene about half an hour later, Sheila only had a solitary wound there?

How can there only be one wound at 8:44am, when there was two there at about 8:10am?

Why couldn't members of the raid team, make their own witness statements?

Seven days later, PI Miller attends the opening of the inquest on 14th August 1985, and he told the deputy coroner, Mr Thompkin, that she had killed the others and that she had taken her own life by way of a solitary wound under the chin, despite the fact that there clearly had been two wounds present upon her throat and neck. As a result of PI Miller keeping the truth about the existence of two wounds from the deputy coroner, Mr Thompkin, he deliberately prevented any investigation as to how two shots could have been fired resulting or contributing to the death of Sheila in the bedroom?

For some reason, Essex police did not want the coroner to be looking into how Sheila came to be shot twice, once before :44am, and secondly on an occasion after 8:44am?

Body of Sheila was cremated soon afterwards, so body was disposed of before anybody got wind of what could possibly have taken place inside the bedroom after 8:44am?

Interesting posts.  Especially the second one.  Miller would have to be utterly ruthless to consent to burying Bamber though?  He'd have to have not a shred of conscience  ???

I imagine a two gunshots to the throat suicide would pose an issue at inquest.  It seems doubtful that such a death would breeze through a Coroner's inquest with a rubber stamp.
