Yes I accept West could have made a mistake, but in his first statement he says JB's call was 3.26 and his latter statement he says the call was at 3.36 as stated in his log. Sorry no excuse for this.

Nor was there any for JB altering the timing of his own call to police, but that seems not to be questioned.

Well I hope I have not become entrenched Jane, I try hard to look at the evidence and say it as I see it no matter who it helps. Wests two statements to me take the biscuit, to me there is no excuse I think it is you who is entrenched if you read Wests two statements and see nothing wrong?

However, I try to make allowances -hence the frequent use of "perhaps", "possibly", and "maybe"- because it's not possible be be more emphatic.

Exactly. So nowhere near beyond the realms of fantasy.

Nor is it conclusive proof that JB was stitched up.

If attention had been paid to the TWO phone-calls that DID happen, then perhaps there'd have been " conclusive proof ".
Two Mr Bamber's ? "Oh yes, different phone numbers, different addresses, oh heck, somebody's made a muck of that, never mind, carry on as was, nobody will notice. "  Much confusion that night. Wake up EP !!

The CPS is hell bent on securing a conviction. I have known people who have pleaded guilty to offences and the police have made embellishments still. To hang them out to dry even more.

In 2005 I spent almost 14 months on bail for an offence I didn't committ. In and out of court. I was completely innocent.. But the CPS just dug their heels in and stalled before withdrawing the prosecution.

Going back to police corruption. I am sure none of us on this forum are privy towards everything in the Bamber investigation.

There are probably things that aren't even in the domain.

The CPS are deadly for their ill thought-out methods of accusing someone. Unbelievably thick !
