Obviously there is no other plausible bedroom scenario where Neville gets shot twice in the face from inches away. Then the next 2 shots are torso shots from feet away.

Nevill couldn't fight the shooter just prior to, during or just after the close range face shots. As they were on opposite sides of the bed.

Evidence has to be interpreted.  You can't just say: 'Oh, there's so many cartridge casings recorded as found here, that must mean the rifle was fired that many times in this same room.'

It doesn't mean that at all.
