Oh! The prelude to her breakdown? It's highly unlikely that the police in that area, HAD they been contacted, would have passed such information to Essex Police, don't you think? I think they'd have been more likely to contact Colin? I feel certain that a domestic incident wouldn't have been high on their list of priorities

Unless it could have been patched through because I think she went to WHF after that episode. Once the name had been taken it would have been recognised by EP from previous calls made from WHF. I think she was known by police which must have been awful for Nevill when serving as a magistrate and being known.

Thanks Bubo bubo.  What a showing up!  I got some right funny looks, especially from Philip and Jackie, and you should have seen Peter Tatchell's face.  I wish I'd taken Adam's sage advice now.  He did warn me not to turn up dressed like that but I'm just going on the case evidence.  How was I supposed to know Jeremy couldn't have windsurfed on Tollesbury Road?  I wish people would keep me in the loop.  No wonder the CCRC don't reply to my e-mails.  Oh well, it happens to the best of us!

Certainly you may think it, Lookout. I believe it to be unlikely. The poor girl wasn't as criminal so there'd have been no need for "the name to be taken". The "previous call made from WHF" are, I imagine, wishful thinking. I concur though, that such would go along way to tying in your belief that she was 'known' to them, but it's something I totally refute.

They, EP, only have to check their logs etc. to see what calls were made and when as all calls to police are listed whether they're false alarms or not, for future reference.

We're going back closer to 40 years, than 30. I can't see them keeping records of phone calls for that length of time. But who knows?

I wouldn't be too sure myself. I know at the hospital we used to keep case-notes longer for those who had MH issues, after discharge or if they'd died.

It's puzzling me as to why EP have kept documents from this case for so long, so considering that they have done there's bound to be medical notes from each family member otherwise what else would EP call " sensitive material " that is kept under PII ? This is done solely because of family members still being alive.

Well, IF they do, it further raises the question of how did a 999 call from Nevill become lost -within minutes- on the very night the call is alleged to have been made. JB wasn't a suspect. They hadn't even seen the crime scene. Mick has suggested that, between them, West and Bonnet decided to lose it in case it was decided to prosecute JB later. Why would they? The two people probably furthest down the pecking order were hardly the ones to take such a momentous decision. I find that idea preposterous.
