Believe CAL is saying Nevill was injured so made it downstairs behind Bamber.

It would not take long to fire two shots into the sleeping twins.

It does not take long to dial 999 either, JB could not let Nevil go downstairs before him.

All this stuff of shooting June first is rubbish, if it was JB it would be Nevil first and there would be no mistakes he can hit a rabbit at 50 yards.

CAL is saying Nevill was behind Bamber. Nevill went downstairs to try to stop Bamber returning upstairs.

June's side of the bed was nearest the door. Bamber chose to shoot them both from this side. The rifle was long enough.

Guess he was confident enough to shoot June first.

With a willing partner yes, but you try gaging someone who is resisting you, very difficult. Even if her wrists and ankles were bound she could still lash out with both feet. How does JB get her past the main bedroom to his room without waking everyone up? The gag would not stop her making a lot of noise, and she would be struggling as hard as she could.

Sheila died calmly, not fighting for her life, look at pictures of Bonnie and Clyde to see what I mean.

Rubbish!  Bamber had the advantage of the element of surprise and Sheila the disadvantage of being half asleep which coupled with her meds made her a sitting duck.

Look at the case of Caroline Dickinson who was raped and murdered in a dorm like environment.  Those sleeping within touching distance knew nothing about it.

None of Nevil's blood in the bedroom is too much for me, I don't believe he was ever shot in the bedroom. I know you think he was so fair enough, but to add insult to injury you have JB messing up and letting Nevil get up?? JB would not have messed up from such close range.

The evidence says Nevill was shot in the bedroom. Four times.

The evidence then shows he made his way to the kitchen. Either chased by or following Bamber.

Nevill and June are likely to be in the main bedroom, in bed at around 2am.

No need to.  I can see how effective Montes was with a wad of cotton wool.

I will look a the trajectories again Adam, but I think it would be Nevil chasing Bamber trying to save his family not Nevil running from Bamber.

I don't see your point? if someone is frozen with fear that's one thing, Sheila had her children in the house.

That is fine.

If Bamber is out of bullets & Nevill badly injured, it makes sense to re load rather than fight Nevill.

Would just be surprised if an injured Nevill went downstairs to confront Bamber. Instead of waiting until he returned.

Nevill staying upstairs can also check on June,  the twins & Sheila. As well as arm himself with a chair to protect himself.

Bamber had the advantage of the element of surprise and being physically stronger than Sheila.  Sheila had the disadvantage of being taken by surprise, half asleep, drowsy from meds and no match for Bamber's height and weight ratio.

JB had to make it look like suicide, gagging her and tying her up is the last thing he would do. It is not a question of superior strength.

Thankfully I haven't seen any pics of Nevill, only an outline which told me that he'd appeared to have died before the two women ?

There was no excuse that none of the three adults couldn't get out of that farmhouse. There were two flights of stairs that allowed a window of opportunity to escape out of the front door while the killer was upstairs, and those upstairs when the killer was in the kitchen, a rifle/ shotgun fired out of the window a few times would have attracted the attention of those in the nearby cottages who were farm workers who would have been wakened by the shots.
