After a full days work at the age of 60, he'd have been weary----something you wouldn't know about !!

Obviously a fully fit Nevill would have instantly disarmed Sheila.

Going into the realms of fantasy, a shot 4 times Nevill would have used his massive height/weight advantage to fall on Sheila.

Nevill can then stay on top of Sheila & call on June. Sheila no longer has the rifle & can't get Nevill off her.

Nevill had a weight/height advantage over Bamber. However it was nowhere near enough for him to take Bamber to ground. Bamber was strong enough to resist this.

The evidence shows when the wrestled for the rifle that Bamber was not taken to ground. The wrestling resulted in the ceiling light smashing & aga scratches.

How did JB escape being marked from all this wrestling, in a confined space with furniture?

A shot 4 times Nevill would have instantly taken Sheila to ground. It is the first, best & obvious option. This would have been prior to Sheila using the rifle to hit Nevill.

When Nevill wrestled Bamber for the rifle, it is likely he had already received a lot of damaging blows in the kitchen by an attacking Bamber. Making him weaker when he eventually wrestled for the rifle.

How would wrestling for the rifle injure him?

He was fully clothed in shoes. He may have bruised a toe.

It was Sheila who suffered a broken toe-nail in the struggle with her father when she knocked it against the Aga.

If Sheila's post-mortem was held today, that trace of cannabis which had been found would have been called into question. We know that cannabis remains in the system depending how much has been smoked, and we believed that Sheila had been smoking heavily recently before her death. We also know that heavy use of this drug impairs the thought process and also counteracts the efficacy of prescribed medications.

There is nothing in the COA about a broken toe nail.

Has Yvonne got more new information?

I think Lookout is referring to car CA05 which was further away and so arrived after Bews and co.
Thanks Rob, if Nevill made the call to Bamber that Sheila’s is going Crazy with a gun, please come over,  under the watchful eye of Sheila, she cuts him off with his phone call, does she then allow him to phone the Police after cutting him off in the first place, thus triggering the second car?

I think you and his supporters have always been under the impression that the tactical fire arms unit was called earlier than when Bews made the request?   If you read Adams report he tells you, at 4.00am he was on operation (plain clothes) in Colchester when he heard radio talk of a possible fire arms incident at Tolleshunt Darcy, so he contacts HQ to tell her that they were a fire arms unit and were available.  He goes on to say after that he didn't hear anything for a while.  So at this point no request had been made for Tactical fire arms team to be deployed.  It was only when Bews made the request a little while later that they was deployed, Adams then had to remind the operator they would have to return back to HQ to draw weapons?

Now if Nevill had made a request for help to the police and Bamber had made a request to the police, both mentioning the use of guns and I dare say Nevill’s call would have been more serious than Bamber’s, Adams would have been notified much earlier, it’s awhile after 4.00 am that he’s told that he’s needed.

I can’t load Adams COLP statement for some reason?

Many thanks for the clear eyed clarification, RJ.. It's  good to get rid of all the fiction which has grown up around this case.
