C'mon, nobody is described as being " busy having miscarriages ".
Nobody was " busy " looking after her in the aftermath----before she had time to get over that, the twins were sprung upon her and how supportive he was then, bedding what other female he could get hold of.
I have no proof that he lolled around but neither have I got proof that he was looking for work.
You don't. But given the choice of whether to say the best or worst of him, you'll opt for the worst.
And I don't know what went on inside their marriage, but other than the brief period -between losing the baby which forced their marriage and becoming pregnant again -and losing it- to becoming pregnant with the twins and spending most of the pregnancy in hospial- when she did the unsuccessful modeling stint in Japan, Sheila had little time for work. To be fair, girls of her station didn't expect to have to work, other than a little temping or some charity stuff, after marriage. The necessity for it would have come as a shock to her.
