It is possible that Nevill was shot 4 times in bed.

He moved & put his elbow up to try to avoid the second & third shots. Resultjng in the elbow & shoulder shots.

He then got out of bed & headed for the door. Bamber stood back as out of bullets and he wanted to avoid a physical confrontation. A few seconds later realising he now had no choice but to attack Nevill.

Hopefully Lookout will supply a source that there was blood on Nevill's side of the bed. I'm sure she is locating the source as I type.

This would change things as it would be more proof Nevill was shot in bed. Which could only be by Bamber.

It would also mean Nevill was also in bed long enough to bleed onto the bed. So why didn't Bamber fire two more head shots?

Thanks Adam.  We're all on tenterhooks.  In the meantime, you and Badly-Taught Steve should start a new thread on your favourite soaps.

Steve will want to mention Brookside due to its sociological significance.

Other members may want to join in and mention their favourites.

You could start a competition for the Best Ever Soap character and rig it so that Frank Butcher wins.

It all became too much for Frank & he left the square. But hopefully it won't be long before he returns.

Teacher Steve likes Brookside.  You like Eastenders.

Mike probably likes Emmerdale.

There's the makings of a row.

Let battle commence.

I think, the mainstream choice has to be Ian Beale, brilliantly acted by Adam Woodyatt, a stalwart by any measure.

For something more obscure.. maybe Ron Dixon or Marcus Tandy?

I had you down for a possible Rumpole of the Bailey fan.

Actually, I am.  That's perceptive of you.  And I've read most of the stories.  I don't remember much of the TV version, though: I'm not a fan of TV really, but from recollection the actor was pretty good.

Shall we compromise, even though I gave my life in one sense to the teaching profession: you can regard me as Badly-Taught Steve and I'll think of you as a paraplegic paralegal from Tetbury..

Except I'm not, Disingenuous Steve, whereas you are, therefore if we were to compromise along those lines, that would mean we're engaging in an untruth.

I know spouting lies and untruths is second nature to you, Sketchy Steve, but that's not the case for me, so I won't.

Better if you show some humility and change your attitude, but that will never happen because you are here for a purpose, to do a job.

By the way, I do find it fascinating how middle-class people like you enjoy talking over and moralising to others, while committing the same sins yourselves.  Your latest one is to make fun of disabled people.  I'm not disabled, but I don't find it in good taste really.

I also take exception to your avatar.  Do you have Colin Caffell's permission to use that avatar?  I imagine it doesn't fall within the fair dealing exception of UK copyright law, so what is your legal basis for using it?

That's apart from the fact that it is in very poor taste to be using an avatar of two murdered children and their father while telling jokes about the case and being rude to other members.

It's also in very poor taste being an apologist for murder, but those members who believe Jeremy Bamber is guilty overlook this time and time again.

Thanks Disingenuous Steve.

If you could just post up a link to where I have acted as an apologist for murder, I'll be sure to explain or correct the remark, as necessary.

Could you also answer my question, Dodgy Steve?

With reference to UK copyright law, on what legal basis do you use that photo as your avatar?  It's fine for the Forum to post it up, provided the use falls within the terms of fair dealing.  But using it as an avatar is not fair dealing.

Do you have Colin's permission?

Speaking of avatars, I wondered whether my avatar might be uncomfortable for some people. I got it from David1819. The scenarios involving Sheila that were posted up yesterday painted a harrowing picture of what may have happened that night. I do envisage a desperate father / daughter struggle, where Nevill faces a terrible dilemna.  Anyway, I suppose we are going off topic.

I don't mind your avatar.

I also don't mind Adam's.  He's even managed to catch Jeremy's good side.  Thanks Adam.

I do mind an avatar that has the murder victims on it and their father.  In all seriousness, it does make me uncomfortable and there is something a bit creepy and mawkish about it, especially when the person using it is so strident in his views and lacking in humility.  It just makes me uncomfortable all round.

I’m surprised Steve_uks avatar is not a photo of Julie Mugford in a heart shaped frame
