41.

There was a wound to the left side of the lip and another to the left part of the lower jaw.

There were also gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and a grazing wound above the left elbow.

Bed:

There was a wound to the left side of the lip and another to the left part of the lower jaw

---------

Nevill was shot twice in/close to the bed.

The rifle was a rifle used for shooting rabbitts.

Nevill was getting out of bed & on the move when receiving his first or second shot. Resulting in no more upstairs face shots.

There was a window of less than 3 seconds for blood from these two shots to fall onto the bed sheets.

The blood from these face shots are likely to build up inside the mouth.

There is a possibility Nevill was out of bed when receiving these two shots.

Conclusion:

There would be none of Nevill's blood on the bed sheets.

No trails of blood were found from Nevill. A drop on a stair tread and a smudge on the wallpaper.

Carpet:

There were also gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and a grazing wound above the left elbow.

----------

Nevill was moving across the carpet and down the stairs as quickly as he could. Meaning a time limit of around 10 seconds for blood to fall onto the carpet.

He received two torso shots from a rifle used for shooting rabbits.

Blood from his torso shots had to drip through his pyjamas.

Blood from his torso shots had to fall 4 & 6 feet onto the floor.

There would be minimal or no blood from the grazing elbow shot.

The sholder shot is in an area of low blood flow. Any blood is likely to stain the pyjama top first.

The blood from his head shots will still be building up inside his mouth.

Conclusion:

There would be no trail of carpet blood from Nevill. At present there is no source regarding the carpet stairs.

No blood on Nevill's side of the bed is a big issue to some.

It was one of David's two reasons for changing stance from hardcore guilter.

Other posters question the bullet casing evidence & say Nevill would have left a carpet blood trail across the bedroom & on the stairs.

There is no proof whether he did or didn't on the stairs & no reason why he should have done in the bedroom.

The word is " Trail " and not trial as you keep repeating.

David is very quiet on this. Considering no blood on Nevill's side of the bed from two rifle shots,  was one of two reasons why he changed stance from hardcore guilter.

Was there? So he must have been shot there.

Nevill was shot in his sleep.  He wakes up, gets shot again.

Dozy Jeremy shoots June five times and lets Nevill run away.  Still, June was a typist in the SOE, so she’s the priority.

Good of Nevill not to leave blood anywhere.  Think of all the extra paperwork that poor old Stan would have had.  Thanks Nevill.

Nevill runs for his life and leaves June, Sheila and the twins to it.

Lucky Julie was up for that 3 a .m. phone call so Stupid Boy knew what to do next.

Thanks Adam.

How on earth does any of us know how we're going to react in such a situation? Nevill as paterfamilias may have felt he had no choice but to try to summon outside help, rather than attempt in the bedroom to take on an attacker who may or may not have been working with an accomplice inside the farmhouse.

Thanks Badly-Taught Steve.  I completely agree.

Bamber shot Nevill 4 times in the main bedroom.

Obviously there will be none of his blood on the bed or carpet as he was not in either location long enough.

Hopefully sources will be supplied regarding the stair carpet. I will surprised if Nevill's blood was there. But it would just confirm he was shot in the main bedroom.

At present evetyone has to go by the bullet casing locations which show Bamber opened fire on June and Nevill while standing on June's side of the bed.

Hopefully Lookout will supply a source that there was blood on Nevill's side of the bed. I'm sure she is locating the source as I type.

This would change things as it would be more proof Nevill was shot in bed. Which could only be by Bamber.

It would also mean Nevill was also in bed long enough to bleed onto the bed. So why didn't Bamber fire two more head shots?
