I agree to an extent, David. However if Rivlin tied his own hands then EP poked his eyes out by hiding so much evidence. It made his defence all the more difficult with prosecution shenanigans.
Rivlin decided to tell the jury a narrative whereby Sheila was using the silencer and the blood inside was a mixture of June's and Nevils. He very much did tie his own hands.
A lot of information came out at trial from Vanezis and Fletcher that indirectly indicates the silencer was not on the gun at all. However Rivlin could not use any of this to his advantage whilst telling the jury that Shelia used the silencer.
