Well you do surprise me because you always mention them as if you knew them. Hypocrisy ? Intrusion ?
I don't think so. Look at the mess it was in before it was kindly tended by someone from the CT team who probably didn't know them personally either.
Nobody thought about it before then, not even their nearest and dearest who live at WHF and surrounding area ! Now that's hypocrisy !
Why did it take a team of strangers to remove the overgrowth and spare some dignity toward the deceased ?
Now how do I NOT see that as a spiteful and WHOLLY unnecessary jibe? At best it's sarcasm. Please feel free to find a post of mine in which I've ever said that they were personal friends. I have only ever said that they were closer friends of my friends.
It IS nearly 35 years since their deaths. Councils can no longer afford to employ people to keep grave yards tidy. I don't suppose the graves are visited more often than their birthdays, Christmas, and more sadly, the day of their deaths. I'm afraid that's life. It goes on relentlessly. Her sister must be well into her nineties, Ann into her seventies and still working to help daughter, Janie, with the businesses.
As for the CT doing their bit, I'm guessing, as they didn't know them, the idea must have come from Jeremy. I VERY much doubt they'd do it of their own volition, OR that they do it on a weekly basis. I will agree that it's more dignified than Trudy standing over the graves reading a poem.
