..and yet you profess to know more of the case than someone who has been discussing it for years. Take a lesson from lookout if you want support here: someone who knows her own mind and has done the spadework, not some Johnny-come-lately larrikin who is jostling for position with a smattering of disputed facts.

Anyway I'm off to bed.

He lived with Jeremy of course he would know more about him.

I hope they bring up in the drama how quickly Jeremy was downgraded which was unknown for someone who had allegedly murdered all his family

Downgraded by people who saw him day in day out

I doubt he would have been downgraded if they really thought he was guilty of the murders
Julie Mugford the main prosecution witness was guilty of numerous crimes, 13 separate cheque frauds, robbery, and drug dealing and also making a deal with a national newspaper before trial that if she could convince a jury her ex boyfriend was guilty of five murders she would receive £25,000

To quote Eric allison, and I never quote journos but I think this has meaning to it. " Bamber was handsome but in a crude caddish way, nobody wanted to believe the beautiful caffell was gulity. I honestly believe Jeremy's arragance convicted him

Absolutely spot on

You believe he is innocent?
none of us apart from the 58 year old man serving a whole life tariff in hmp Wakefield know that. But on the evidence i have seen I believe the verdict is unsafe.

And what evidence might this be?

what's the strongest evidence against Bamber in your opinion?

Stop trying to pick my brains and show me some of yours. I agree with the summing up of Mr. Justice Drake, that the three pillars of the case were: the silencer evidence, Julie's evidence, the alleged telephone call from Nevill.

ok we will start with julies evidence and you and people like Caroline cannot just state " we are going round in circles or " being repetitive" because it's valid points. How credible is a woman with a history of cheque fraud and who for a period of time kept company, was intimate with , a man who by her own account was a self confessed child killer??

I agree with the first two, but the last one is up for grabs. It's of no use anyone saying that Nevill couldn't have phoned anyone with his injuries because he could have phoned before he was injured.

I have to submit kaldin. I'm surprised Julie was seen as credible under the circumstances.

Well yes, but her evidence was crucial to the prosecution.

Perhaps, balanced against Jeremy, she was seen as eminently credible.

The silencer evidence would be enough anyway.

But then you're into police withholding knowledge of a call when there was no need, because it tallied with their boss' view that the whole episode was a domestic and Sheila was responsible.

if you look at things from a whole Jane. And I know you said " we didn't know how Julie's mind worked" I do find it hard to this day why she kept quiet for so long. We are not talking about someone who has slept with another woman here, we are not talking about a man who has confessed about a pronzi fraud scheme. By her own account Jeremy Bamber had confessed, told her what he had done. By her own account he was actively bragging and relishing to her what he had done. People can have their own opinions but in mine it is highly suspect that Julie didn't come forward straight away. We are talking five murders here, including two little boys
