I’m still waiting for a single unique piece of evidence or information  that Julie could come up with that proved Jeremy was planning to murder his family

Jeremy’s meant to be a cunning person and yet Jeremy’s ‘allegedly said  to have told Julie he was responsible
for the murders and then dumped her?

She did claim Jeremy told her a glove had come off in the fight with Nevill. This was not contained within any of the newspapers he bought and took home to Bourtree Cottage. But that's not really the point: in the Bamberettes' scenario Julie has concocted a tissue of lies, yet we've heard nothing from Jeremy Bamber on this subject for 34 years.

..yes but he was the first to rail against any injustice when working for Nevill and June: free rent at a Goldhanger cottage but he had to pay for carpets and curtains, except that he didn't because he had a scheme involving a caravan park burglary, Sheila had a portfolio of modelling photographs taken and a secretarial course paid for so Jeremy had to have a world trip, he crashed his car so Nevill should replace it (never mind when they were all dead he would buy himself a Porsche), Pamela gave her daughter a percentage of the Osea Road dividend so June should do the same to him. When she refused she signed her own death warrant.

With Julie it's blind acceptance, isn't it..

The relevance is that Jeremy sensed injustice whilst under Nevill and June's guardianship. What greater injustice than to have your girlfriend of almost two years state a tissue of lies in a court of law which resulted in you being banged up for 34 years yet you remain silent..

There is nothing to corroborate a glove falling off.

I could say Jeremy told me his shoe came off in the fight. Its does not prove anything without corroboration. Would you take my word for it?

But it's a detail which wasn't in the newspapers. You can't have it both ways as usual: wanting Julie's story copied from the press when it suits and disparaging her again when it is not.

Indeed it is, Steve, and it's just struck me that, if Jeremy had won his appeal, he's describing exactly what he'd have been doing! ie appearing on Wogan, advertising a book, a film -a nonentity elevated to Z celebrity status- using it for his own ends, pretending it was grief counselling. I feel certain that such behaviour would have sickened Nicholas and Daniel. It's highly unlikely that Jeremy himself had any deep feelings for them. Could it be that he saw them as drawing attention away from him? That he saw them -and Sheila- receiving love and care he felt should have been his? The more closely it's looked at, the more it resembles projection.

Like you, I find strange such spitefulness directed at Colin, who carried no responsibility for his conviction, whilst maintaining an unnatural silence regarding Julie.

Great post Jane, my thoughts exactly.  I’m very surprised the vetting process at the prison allowed such a malicious letter to pass from Bamber, obscene and hurtful letters are not usually allowed.

Yet we're told Jeremy bears no anger or resentment, that he maintains a calm and studied equilibrium. That letter tells a rather different story.
