She was a Surrey schoolgirl who disappeared on the afternoon of Monday 27 November 1995, only days after discovering the real cause of death of her birth mother. Did she see her bleak life stretching out before her as every teenager is at times wont to do, with every problem magnified as she vowed to make that collection of people she held responsible for her plight pay, as she alighted the taxi at a local beauty spot and disappeared without trace? https://youtu.be/pfkAO8VcKBg

The mystery is where her body is located. My hunch is that it's still in some nook on Box Hill. I doubt the father had anything to do with his daughter's disappearance; more likely he was caught up in the crossfire between her and his new wife.

So they say, but a local here says there are hidden places. I don't know how big it is or whether it's been thoroughly searched. https://youtu.be/WN4l959EsQw

according t her dad and one of her friends the search was pretty intensive.
-
steve did you notice how her frieds keep looking at each other rather tha the camra.

Well I just see two concerned individuals at 16:28, probably a lot more mature now after the passage of time, just as mystified as everyone else as to why Ruth disappeared. I am surprised that none of the villagers has come forward to be interviewed, which does make me wonder again about the role of father Ian Wilson, but this would only be speculation. The flowers take on a sinister significance, the satirical gift to the stereotypical wicked stepmother and makes me think she was planning her own death, though with Surrey Police stymieing the investigation it seems everything is still very much up in the air.

im suprised as she was so active in church and the youth club that nobody from the church or youth club wanted to be interviewed.

Yes I got the feeling that she wasn't a particularly popular student, though there's nothing necessarily wrong in that. Maybe the locals didn't know much about her. I'd be interested to know about the school she attended and whether the rules were particularly strict and how much free time she did get. Was her disappearance retaliation for her dad keeping the secret of her mother's death all those years, were the flowers meant to be put on her grave, was that her carrying a navy blue suitcase along Reigate Road or was the truth more prosaic as Catherine claimed, namely that she just had nowhere to go?

Yes I agree and had I disappeared I would expect someone from the local church to offer themselves up for interview. I can only assume that the Wilsons were like some of my fellow-parishoners, readily attaching themselves to the ceremonies but not always attending regularly on Sundays.

Did the journalist say the father was a parishoner somewhere in the film? I'm not sure how active they were as a family in the church-not judging them, just saying. Since there's no body found there's been no memorial service let alone a funeral.

well ruth waas certanly active she sang in church and she was also a bell ringer so the church workers must of known her fairly well.
her dad was and is a parish counceler so iamene the family would be well known to the church.
-
There's an article here which mentions her participating in all these church activities but if the family and locals wouldn't speak to him how would he know? It does mention that she had a younger sister: would this tend to make suicide less likely? https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/apr/29/ruth-wilson-surrey-schoolgirl-vanished-documentary
-
There's more here that she may have written a suicide note and taken paracetamol on Box Hill. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6252350/ruth-wilson-missing-dorking-investigation-disappearance/

thats what somebody wanted it to look like by the time she got there it would of been dark how would she write a note in the dark
and how would she have killed herself and hidden her own body.
-
Well maybe she wrote the note before she left. There are numerous possibilities. I think the retired Scotland Yard officer has been looking for the body on Box Hill awhile now with his dog.
-
there were actually 3 notes and none of them were suicide notes.

aperantly martin isn't getting much joy from the police there being rather tight lipped the trouble is if they cant solve something they don't want anybody else to.
