At the Heart of this prosecution lies two different looking parker Hale silencers, which I shall refer to as (a) the Pargeter silencer / sound moderator, versus, (b) the Bamber rifle silencer / sound moderator..

These two silencers / sound moderators came into play at different stages of the police investigations..

Silencer (a) was seized by police at the scene on 7th August 1985
Silencer (b) was taken possession of by relatives at the scene (whf) on 11th September 1985, or thereabouts..

MOVEMENTS of Silencer (a)'SBJ/1'

Seized by DS Jones at scene 7th August 1985
Placed on DCI Jones desk at Witham police Station
Taken by Cook to Lab' at Huntingdon on 13th August 1985
Dismantled by Cook and rebuilt 28th / 29th August 1985
Retained by Essex police until Used by PC Whiddon in November 1985 to take photographs at scene

Submission of Exhibit (DB/1, 23) to Lab' at Huntingdon on 30th August 1985

As a result of item DB/1 (23) being presented to the Lab' earlier, the following blood group activity was obtained:

A
EAP BA
AK1
HP (2-1)

These blood group results were obtained from tests carried out at the lab' on 12th, 13th, 18th, and 19th September 1985..

MOVEMENTS of Silencer (b) 'DRB/1'

Found at scene by relatives September 1985 (whilst Jeremy was being detained in police custody)
Handed over to police on 11th September 1985
Fingerprinted by DS Eastwood and DS Davison on 13th September 1985
Submitted to Lab's at Huntingdon on 20th September 1985
First examined at Lab' on 26th September 1985

None of the blood identified from DB/1 (23) could have possibly been found inside Silencer DRB/1, that's an impossibility considering that Silencer DRB/1 was not even sent to the Lab' at Huntingdon until after the dates when the blood group activity had been positively identified as belonging either exclusively to Sheila, or being an intimate mixture of the parents bloods. The blood (A, EAP BA, AK1, HP 2-1) and the Silencer (DRB/1) have been moved towards one another, across an unsurmountable obstacle - that obstacle is impenetrable, and relies upon the first occasion when the source for the blood group activity, and the Silencer in question were first received at the Lab' , where one (DB/1 (23) was sent there on 30th August 1985, whilst the other (DRB/1) did not get sent there until 20th September 1985...

Anything, arising out of the examination of DB/1 (23), on 12th, 13th, 18th, and 19th September 1985 could not possibly be linked to DRB/1, which did not get sent along to the same lab' until 20th September 1985...

There was no Silencer present at the Lab' between 13th August 1985 and 20th September 1985

Exhibit DB/1(23) which got submitted to the Lab' was the source for the blood group test results (A, EAP BA, AK1 and HP 2-1), obtained from tests carried out at the lab' on 12th, 13th, 18th and 19th September 1985...

If anyone chooses to beleive that this (DB/1,23) exhibit was the silencer which got sent to the Lab' on the 30th August 1985, then ask yourselves the following as yet unexplained, and unfathomable questions:-

(1) - If the silencer in this 'guise (DB/1,23) was at the Lab' from 30th August 1985, how could Ann Eaton hand it over to DC Oakey along with the other subsequent DRB exhibits on 11th September 1985?

(2) - Why did David Boutflour wait until 11th September 1985 to contact the police to tell them that he had found the silencer to the gun?

(3) - if the silencer in the 'guise of DB/1(23) was already at the Lab' from 30th August 1985, how did DS Eastwood and DS Davison fingerprint it on 13th September 1985?

(4) - If the silencer in the guise of DB/1(23) was submitted to the Lab' on 30th August 1985, how come there does not exist a 'GENERAL EXAMINATION RECORD' at the Lab' pertaining to the silencer on that date? Why is it, that there only exists two such records, one dated, 13th August 1985, and the other dated 26th September 1985?

(5) - Why did it take until the examination of the silencer (DRB/1) on 26th September 1985, to notice for the very first time red paint particles crushed into the knurl of the silencers metal end cap?

I have identified an issue which needs some more thought...

If the exhibit DB/1(23) that was sent to the Lab' at Huntingdon on 30th August 1985, was the Silencer (Not another source for the blood group results that followed later) and it was the only silencer in the entire investigations - then How could the relatives have found it at the scene any time in September 1985? Not only that / this but how could the relatives have deliberately contaminated that silencer by contaminating it with Sheila's blood, and red paint from the kitchen aga, any time after 12th August 1985, and sooner than 30th August 1985?
