You mean the one resting on the rifle?  ::)

These control rounds (DRH/42) were coated in grease and therefore the correct levels of lead deposit would not have been detectable in the actual tests which were undertaken! For example, the tests which were carried out on the volunteers who loaded live rounds into the gun, did not involve any of the 29 bullets recovered from the kitchen worktop, which in turn were believed to have been the source of at least 20 of the 26 bullets that had been fired on that occasion - in other words, the volunteers handled a different set of .22 Ammunition than that suspected of being the source ( remember, that Malcolm Fletcher test fired all 29 live rounds from exhibit DRH/42, and that he could only produce 27 of these29 rounds)..

Where else should it be considering she just shot herself?  ???

PS: There was no ammunition left in the magazine for the lead to jump off the bullet out the magazine into her hand if that is what your are trying to imply.

There would have been lead ON the rifle.

The hand swab evidence shows Sheila was the shooter. Unfortunately none of this is admissible for grounds of appeal as its all in the trial transcripts. The defence blew their chance in 86 by arguing for ritualistic washing of hands.

Brian Elliots conclusions show that Sheila in unlikely to have loaded the weapon "SHORTLY BEFORE HER DEATH" not that it was unlikely full stop. This is consistent with Sheila being alive several hours after she shot her parents and children. It gets better, the levels of lead on her right hand is greater on the right hand than the left hand. This is entirely consistent with right handed Sheila loading the casings into the weapon. Not only that but there are also copper traces on Sheila's hands slightly greater than that of the staff in the experiment. Copper was part of the what bullet casings were made out off and loading them would have left traces and lo and behold we  have Copper on Sheila's hands more so on the left hand than the right which is exactly where copper traces would have fell if Sheila loaded the casings with her right hand.

It shows nothing of the kind. You have painstakingly found the evidence which has eluded the Defence for 33 years. You forget that Bamber could have set the scene exactly how he wanted, including thrusting a rifle into a sick woman's hand and pulling the trigger. The hand swabs were rejected by the laboratory in any case.

Yes, but this evidence was not transferred onto the hands with regard to the hand swab evidence. The fact is that her right hand was resting on the gun which would have had lead deposits up on it did not show up on the right-hand swab taken from her body at the inquest or at the scene then how can anyone reliably suggest that there would have been lead deposits from any ammunition that she may have loaded into the ammunition magazine of the rifle earlier?

Everyone can see that Sheila's right hand was resting up on the rifle, what we can't see is any evidence that she included any additional bullets into the magazine of the rifle! Seeing is believing, or so the saying goes, and the fingers of the right hand was certainly resting upon the rifle in the vicinity of the trigger mechanism, and yet there was no significant amount or levels of lead deposit detected in the hand swabs that were taken from the fingers of her right hand!

For these reasons the hand swab evidence must surely have to be disregarded?

The rife was made out of wood and steel contrary to the bullets. The testees in the lab held same steel  magazine with their left hand and got no high reading from it relative to the right hand.

Whoever loaded additional bullets into the magazine of the anshuzt rifle, would have also handled the rifle when shots were fired from it! We know that the fingers of Sheila Caffell's right hand was photographed resting upon the rifle in the region of the rifles ammunition magazine, and more importantly, the trigger mechanism of the anshuzt rifle, yet despite this no lead depisit was found on Sheila Caffell's right hand swab - but there must have been a presence of firearms discharge residue (FDR) on the fingers of her right hand, because the gun fired at least 20 of the overall 26 shots which we know had been fired! Additionally because the rifle which fired almost all 26 live rounds which contributed to deaths of five victims, there must have been FDR on Sheila's light blue nightdress where the rifle had been photographed in her possession?

Lead was found on both of Sheila's hand swabs.  Her right hand swab showed a PBX peak of 1345 and her left hand swab showed a PBX beak of 337.

Going by the labs baseline test with 4mg on a swab. Sheila had 1.4 milligrams or lead on her right hand.
and 0.3 milligrams on her left hand.

Sheila's left hand also had traces of copper on. Like the testees in the lab. This was caused by microscopic bits of the shell casing being scratched off by the magazine lip as you press the bullets in.

This comes down to interpretation, at the trial the experts on both sides failed to prove that Sheila had any significant levels of lead deposit upon her hands - Sheila was left handed according to what Jeremy told me, so how come the reading for lead deposit was higher on the right hand swab, and not the left hand swab?

Sheila was right handed
No, she wasn't and that was where Essex police made the fatal mistake when they staged her death scene, there on the main bedroom floor (after DS Jones and DC Clark had visited the main bedroom and left to attend with Jeremy at his cottage)...

Please, don't either you, or Jeremy, or anybody else try to insult my intelligence - ok, so Sheila was right handed, so how did she position the muzzle of the gun, or the silencer against the left hand side of her neck to shoot herself from left to right and kill herself?

Not many of you have got any brains, those that have will soon realize that Sheila could not have shot herself across the neck from left to right if she was right handed...

I, therefore, arrest your case!

I, therefore, arrest your case!

Think about it (before you shoot yourself in the foot) How did Sheila Caffells trigger finger on her right hand activate the trigger mechanism with the anshulzt rifle (or as the case may be a second weapon fitted with a silencer) pressed horizontally against the left hand side of her neck? Nobody in their right mind would believe such nonsense, that neither you, Jeremy and anybody else, who purports to support the dishonest claim, that Sheila must have, or did shoot herself twice there in the main bedroom!

She 'did not' shoot herself twice, there in the main bedroom - she was initially shot downstairs in the kitchen, and the angle at which she was horizontally shot across her neck from left to right, points to the involvement of another person in control of the weapon which inflicted that first shot!

Carry on, with your nonsensical narrative, and Sheila being right handed - you won't be getting very far in a hurry (How did Sheila stretch her right arm against her chest and be able to activate the trigger mechanism at the correct angle with the muzzle of the gun in position against the left side of her own neck, and fire a shot horizontally across her own neck, from left to right)?

If Bamber is with you in this pathetic argument, then all I can say, is god help him, and you, also...

Lets get the facts right, before we go any further - SOMEBODY ELSE SHOT SHEILA CAFFELL ACROSS HER NECK INITIALLY (from left to right, horizontally). There can be no doubt whatsoever about that / this fact...

The second shot (the one that killed her outright) was inflicted when the weapon that was used was resting flush against Sheila's body - at a time when she was unconscious and knew nothing about that which was going on...
