Ann Eaton handed over a total of 4 exhibits to Essex police on the 11th September 1985, 4 exhibits which originally had her own exhibit references, AE/1, AE/2, AE)3 and AE/4, which then became exhibits CAE/1, CAE/2, CAE/3 and CAE/4, which subsequently became exhibits, DRB/1, DRB/2, DRB/3, and DRB/4..

Then..

The silencer (DRB/1) retained this exhibit reference, whilst the other three exhibits, were re-allocated the exhibit references of HGO/1(a), HGO/1(b) and HGO/2 (a)...

(1) Sound Moderator, found by David Boutflour, received exhibit from Ann Eaton

The two relatives mentioned in this document are 'David Boutflour' and 'Ann Eaton's - we know that Ann Eaton handed over 4 exhibits to DC Oakey on the 11th September 1985, which at one time or another were given the exhibit references of DRB/4, DRB/3, DRB/2 and DRB/1 (silencer). This corresponded with David Boutflour contacting Essex police by telephone that same day (11September 1985) to tell them that he had found the silencer to the gun ( the only gun Essex police had in their possession at that time) was the anshuzt rifle, which had not by that stage been ballistically tested or proven to have been the weapon used to shoot dead all five victims. It had only (a) been seen resting against a fist floor box room window prior to armed officers entering the farmhouse to bring the seugevto a conclusion, (b) it had been photographed resting against the inside of the main bedroom window before it was photographed upon Sheila Caffell's body, (c) it had been photographed in at least two different positions upon Sheila's body)..

David Boutflour made a statement to Essex police by 14th September 1985 inwhich he describes the two positions inside the so called gun cupboard that he had found the two silencers he had been responsible for finding in that cupboard - he could not have found the same silencer in both of the recorded positions he mentions..
