There is something dramatically wrong with the number of shots that were fired, during this shooting tragedy, and the total number of bullet entry wounds received by the five victims, as opposed to the fact that there were only 25 bullet cases recovered from the scene, and one bullet that was unrecovered from the body of Nicholas Caffell...

Add to this the fact that cops arranged for a switch of one of the two bullets used in the shooting of Sheila Caffell (bullet PV/20), to be replaced with a test fired control round which did not get test fired via the anshuzt rifle until post date the shooting tragedy!

And, more..

How was the prosecutions ballistic expert, Malcolm Fletcher, able to complete comparison tests between batches of the Crime Scene ammunition including bullets and spent cartridge cases, on dates which preceded the dates of his official test firing of control and ammunition via the anshuzt rifle? For example, if you do not officially test via the control ammunition in the first instance, until on or after 20th September 1985, how can you possibly use a piece of test fired control Ammunition that was subsequently fired via the anschutz rifle in what can only best be described as the official test firing of such ammunition after this date, and make comparison tests against a variety of spent bullets and spent cartridge cases, on the following dates, beforehand?

12th, 13th, 18th and the 19th of September 1985?

It gets worse..

Since none of the recovered 25 bullet cases recovered from the scene had any trace of 'A FOLLOWER PLATE MARKING' on any of them, but if the shootings were a one gun crime, where at least 25 shots had inflicted 25 corresponding bullet entry wounds, there ought to have been at least one spent cartridge case with this distinctive follower plate marking upon it, possible as many as three or more spent bullet cases that at one time or another, had been nestling against the steel follower plate of the rifles ammunition magazine?

But 'NONE', present, and 'none' found..

The absence of a single spent cartridge case bearing the all important 'FOLLOWER PLATE MARKING' suggests in the strongest terms imaginable, that somebody has deliberately tampered with the batches of crime scene ammunition!

I pose the filling question:-

Why would anybody want to tamper with the batch of crime scene ammunition?

Who could have tampered with it?

And

Why?

I do not only concern myself here and now with the dishonest interference of the batches of crime scene ammunition by 'THEM', but I also look at and try to deal with something that Jeremy Bamber said to the police regarding the loading of the ammunition magazine in the kitchen before Jeremy we t out to shoot at rabbits, and upon his return what he did exactly with a bullet that had already been loaded internally of the gun into the breech, ready for firing?

I am not happy with Jeremy's account regarding this matter..

Ok..

I get that Jeremy states that he went to get hold of a brand new box of 50 X .22 ammunition from the gun cupboard in the Den for the purpose of loading the magazine of the anschutz rifle so that he could go and try to shoot rabbits that he had seen in the barn area minutes beforehand...

But..

The maths are all wrong, involving the number of the 50 rounds of ammunition used up in the shootings, (20), and the number of spent cartridge cases / bullets that had been loaded twice into the magazine of the gun, which according to Jeremy, included one such a double magazine marked bullet which he said he had removed from the rifles breech, prior to him leaving the rifle on the settle! If Jeremy had done what he claims he had done with that bullet, and he had placed it back into the ammunition magazine, as stated by him, then that round would have been one of the five bullets which were found to have got double magazine markings upon it!

Now, I remember a very candid conversation I had with Jeremy concerning the state the anshuzt rifle was in when he collected it from the cupboard in the den on that evening of 6th August 1985!

For example, he told me that he loaded up the ammunition magazine until it was full of ammunition. Upon leaving the farmhouse how he had then cocked the rifle so that one of the bullets he had loaded into the magazine was loaded up into position ready for firing, the bullet was successfully loaded into the breech!

After he returned to the farmhouse, how he had removed the a munition from the gun, and how he had then proceeded to remove the round from the breech of the gun, and replace 'it' back in the ammunition magazine!
