It was a moving video and it was obvious that Tyson loved and respected Cus through the days of his boxing career . Lovely to see but how sad that there aren't any men like Cus who hail from the Bronx and who could make a huge difference to the youths who live there whose lives are blighted by poverty and crime. I'm sure many of them would value having such a mentor .

Again, very very sad. I never liked Don King myself anyway and he was entirely wrong for a man such as Mike Tyson. Apart from the fact that nobody could have ever taken over Cus's place King had only been interested in the money side of boxing and not the person. Horrible man.

In his prime Tyson's ability to dodge punches was incredible.

Avoids like 10 punches in 5 seconds then BOOM its over. So awesome.

If Lennox Lewis & Riddick Bowe had turned Pro sooner & not chased Olympic Gold in 1988. Tyson would never have been Heavy Weight Champ.

Few boxing would share that view IMO. Plus Bowe and Lewis didn’t stop Tyson regaining the Championship in 1996.

After the 1988 Olympics Bowe & Lewis had to build their Proffesional careers so they were a few years away from a World Title fight.

After Tyson lost to Buster Douglas, Hollyfield got the Title in 1990. Bowe got the Title off Hollyfield.
Bowe lost the title by default and fragmented the division when he was to Chicken to fight Lewis.

Because Lewis lost a shock title defence against Oliver McCall, that paved the way for Bruno to take the title off McCall. Then as expected Tyson beat Bruno.

Then when Tyson had to finally face a class Boxer such as Hollyfield, Tyson was shown up for what he  really was, a boxer who had dominated a weak division.
When they finally met Lewis easily disposed of Tyson. I wouldn't have Tyson in my top 10 and maybe even top 20 Heavy weights of all time.

You can't really discredit Mike Tyson based on speculation like that. The guy had his day and he was a great fighter. He also had a tortured life and that had a huge impact on his fighting.

Given that he is the only boxer to have stopped Mohammed Ali, I don’t think Larry Holmes was bad!
