Thought I would set a topic to discuss the channel 4 programme - The trial which starts tonight. Looks like it might be interesting!

It's very slow: half an hour has passed and I'm none the wiser.

I found it very interesting. Too early to say if he's innocent or guilty but, there are several scenarios that spring to mind .......

He is lying about a reconciliation - he wanted it, she didn't and he found out she was pregnant with her boyfriends child and lost the plot.

They boyfriend found out she was thinking of getting back with her husband and that she was pregnant and had no idea which of them was the father or that it was her husbands child - he saw red.

Things against the husband - he was there and found the body, took a while to call the police (8 mins), called a friend first, was seen outside in the garden - possibly out of breath.

Things against the boyfriend - seemed to have a temper ...........

Going out on a limb, I think the husband is guilty. He lied about his wife calling him to 'come over' that morning; he called her! And although she was pregnant with 'his' child she booked a long time stay in Scotland - long enough to have the child but she didn't tell him. I think she slept with him but it was a mistake and she regretted it.

Plus, he seems incapable of understanding that their relationship was EVER in trouble.
