John Cannan: grammar school boy turned serial killer
« on: July 28, 2016, 04:53:PM »
On the thirtieth anniversary of the unexplained disappearance of estate agent Suzy Lampugh, he remains the prime suspect. Already incarcerated in Wakefield Prison's Monster Mansions for the murder of textile worker Shirley Banks there appears to be a similar modus operandi and type of woman to whom he is attracted. What induced this outwardly plausible man to attack women who rejected his advances- the excitement of the chase, trapped in a humdrum marriage or some psychological trauma experienced as a teenager on holiday in the Quantocks, or whether he just killed for kicks, the case of Suzy Lampugh remains officially unsolved with her 85-year-old father never giving up hope that one day her killer may be brought to justice.

I will have to research him. There are similarities between Suzy Lampugh and Shirley Banks.

They had both worked on the QE2 for a period, though it doesn't say if they were colleagues. My own view is that John Cannan had suffered some kind of emotional trauma as a teenager on holiday in Somerset and had vowed revenge on women who crossed him, which inevitably they did as he became more possessive and they wanted out. I can't see any other explanation for his behaviour though undoubtedly there will be several propounded by more experienced in these matters than myself.  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1579710/Steve-Wright-did-not-kill-Suzy-Lamplugh.html

I believe JC is responsible for this however why is he not charged?

thats what ive allways thought if there is as much evdence agianst him as they cliam and there seems to certanly be enough cercumstantiol evdence why hasnt he been chardged especaily as hes allready a convicted murderer you wouldent think obtaining a conviction would be that hard.

They never like to prosecute without a body. I suppose the evidence was all circumstantial and given that's he's unlikely to get out anyway maybe the CPS are saving money.

That's true but isn't that just a legal formality? It doesn't shore up the evidence against Cannan. It's still rare to prosecute without finding then body.

That's true, though with Nat Frazer it was a struggle, and Adrian Prout confessed, which I can't see John Cannan doing.

Apparently John Cannan will reveal all once his mother dies

Yes I found that strange. Not empathizing with Suzy's mother but his own. Does this make him less of a psychopath I wonder?
