Terrorist Attack in Copenhagen Today
« on: February 14, 2015, 07:43:PM »
One civilian killed, a man 40 years old. R.I.P. so tragic.
Three police officers wounded.

A shooter fired several shots at an arrangement about Free Speech.

This happened very close to where some of my family lives. Right by the biggest park in Copenhagen, a place a lot of people use for leisure and children go to play (including some of my little family members.)

A sad day.  :'(

Sorry to hear that  Alias and so sad that someone else has had to die in the name of 'free speech'. The world really needs to wake up to these terrorist attacks!! They are full of vigour when it  happens but then things die down and it's business as usual. I don't understand it!
Few people have the imagination for reality

Neither do I.
This was predictable. Meeting about free speech including the French ambassador and a high profile Swedish artist who is very anti Muslim.
How could it happen?!

I was wondering if it was near to you,Alias. Frightening and cowardly to repeat these copycat attacks.

No, it is not near where I live, but there is police everywhere. The gunman has not been caught, that is scary.

Now that is scary indeed. I hope the police are around all night.

My husband will be heading home in about an hour - he is not far from the crime scene. I don´t like it....

I wouldn't like it either. It's very unsettling for you and awful to think that your husband isn't far from the place. The sooner he's home, the better.

What on earth is wrong with people that attack innocent people.

How sad for all the families.

The world is becoming frightening.   >:(

There has just been another shooting. Three people hit, two police officers and a civilian shot in the head. They think it is the same shooter, but can not be sure. They think he is hiding in a small park.
This is so scary! The shooting took place close to the Copenhagen Jewish Synagogue.

We hear sirenes all the time. No buses and trains to the affected areas. This is closer to where we live.

Police are having problems with drunk people who don´t understand the seriousness of the situation. They are trying to evacuate the streets.

I see on the news - it looks like a beautiful area but looks so strange deserted.

Yes, it is surreal.
There are many bars and nightclubs in the area. A reporter said she didn´t want to make light of the situation, but it had looked funny when a strip club was evacuated and people from there cam storming down the road towards an evacuation bus. She said it looked "festive".  ;D
