The main allegation is that Duckenfield ordered the opening of the exit gate down which hundreds of lpool fans headed, leading to the tragic deaths of 96 innocent fans. He did this without any pre-planning of blocking the entrance to the central pen which was done in 1988. As the tragic situation unfolded he froze and completely failed to take any constructive action to deal with the consequences which were a direct result of his tragic actions.
Instead all he did was tell a malicious lie that lpool fans broke down the gate.
Bettisons blame lies with his handling of the aftermath of the tragedy including the many malicious statements and allegations he made against lpool fans.
