Jeremy Bamber Appeals for new Information
« on: June 07, 2012, 08:59:AM »
Maybe you are a retired police officer, maybe you worked in the firearms unit and you have information which could help.
Perhaps you worked on the case as a Forensic Scientist?
Perhaps you were involved in the case in some way - as a witness and have felt the heavy burden of truth for 26 years?
Were you one of the 'rookie' firearms officers trained at the Farm House that morning?
Maybe you were a police officer who refused to give evidence against Jeremy and would not go along with the false story (we have names and collar numbers of officers who never gave statements but are on the radio logs at the scene?)
Were you a civilian radio operator?
Did you work for BT and you monitored the conversation inside the farm house before Sheila died?
Perhaps you have accidentally come into possession of contemporary police pocket books through a legacy.

f you viist the official website you can leave any new information there...I might drop a line about PC Jeaps
alleged sighting of a rifle in the Box room. Also the confession of Bews saying Myall sees movement in the back of the house...and Brown's sighting of a rifle....It all needs checking and I think they can do that...It might be they have done so already, but what the heck!  :) :) :)

Patti, WHAT a great thought, but IT NEEDS TO BE SHOUTED SO LOUD THAT IT REACHES WAY BEYOND THE PARAMETERS OF THIS FORUM, WHERE FOR THE MOST PART IT REACHES THE ALREADY CONVERTED. I'll stop shouting now!!!

How about the two members of the jury back then.? Where are they,,and what were their views that they were different from the other 10.? It would also be interesting to find out the ages of the two as well.

Would Doctor Ferguson's views on schizophrenics have changed in this, the 21st century.?

Hi Lookout

Is the defence allowed to know who the jury was?  :) :) :) :)

The defence knew the names of the jurors.  They could also have ascertained their addresses.  However they could not approach jurors after the trial to find out what had been discussed in the jury room.

Thank you for that ngb.....Are they allowed to come forward? I guess not.  I was on the jury years ago and was told I was never to discuss the case with anyone.  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

It is a rather delicate area of the law.  Until the Jeremy Thorpe conspiracy to murder trial jurors were free, after the end of the trial, to disclose information about discussions which had taken place in the jury room.  At the end of the Thorpe trial a juror was interviewed by the New Statesman and revealed the basis for the jury's verdict.  As a result of this the law was changed so that it is no longer permissible for a juror to dosclose anything discussed in the jury room.  To do so would be contempt of court.  However there is nothing to stop a juror, after the trial, from revealing his own views about the evidence and the case overall.  Thus in this case if a juror at the trial in 1986 came forward now to say that in the light of information available now his verdict would have been different, that would be permissible.  It is a delicate balance however, and it would be unwise for jurors to be approached in my view.
