I can't help but think of the epithet associated with James I when I look back thirty years to the murder of Ronald Harrison. How to analyse the crime itself, demonstrating the bestiality of humankind, the willingness to take risk for depravity, the hypocritical use of the Church for one's own ends as an undoubtedly intelligent man who maybe found it difficult to adapt post-retirement, who didn't deserve the fate he suffered but who ultimately should have developed new interests and who certainly with his background should have known better.
