What about the ".22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle".  Was it there on the night of the murders?

Having spoken (and debated) with Jeremy  on many occasions regarding that issue, I am satisfied that Anthony Pargeters .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle with its 17 baffle plated parker hale silencer, was found  (seized) and recovered by DS Jones on the first morning of the police investigation...

It seems somewhat almost certain that police took an interest in Anthony Pargeters .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle and its attached ('and' it's rather distinctive ' unique') parker hale silencer which had, as I have described, got a total of 17 "internalised baffle plates' ( consistent with the type manufactured by parker hale Ltd, from 1980 to November 1984). This suggests at the outset that the 17 baffle plated parker hale silencer to which blood that was found inside of (12th, 13th, 18th and the 19th September 1985) may well have belonged to Anthony Pargeter, who later gave a witness statement to Essex police confirming to the police, that he was the owner of the .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle and its parker hale silencer that he had purchased in 1980...

In stark contrast, the .22 semi automatic 'Anshuzt' rifle, with its 15 baffle plated parker hale silencer had been purchased by Neville Bamber along with 500 rounds of Eley .22 LR subsonic ammunition  for Radcliffes gun shop on the 24th November 1984  which by the way was not handed over to Mr Bamber (according to the evidence) was not handed over until 30th Novembrr 1984. On this date  Radcliffes deliver Mr Bambers order directly to whf. The reason for this week long delay, was because Radcliffe didn't have any parker hale silencers in stock and this was because parker hale had manufactured a brand new 15 baffled silencer which had only just been manufactured the internal design features of parker hale silencers altered in the manufacturing process, from having 17 baffle plates, to 15 from November 1984, hence why Radcliffe had no modernised versions of the new product in stock when Mr Bamber placed his order...

By the time Jeremy Bamber came to trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, 2nd October 1986, the 'oh so' important blood group and paint evidence had been associated with a 17 baffled parker hale silencer which did not belong to the 'Bamber family', but rather to a 17 baffle plated silencer like the one Anthony Pargeyer had purchased in 1980...

I conclude, that the blood group evidence  and the red paint particles associated with  and to the kitchen farmhouse at whf  was found to be upon and inside the parker hale silencer which Anthony Pargeter had purchased previously  for example  back in 1980...

How, was it possible, or likely that Anthony Pargeters 17 baffled parker hale silencer fitted to the barrel end of the 'Bamber owned' .22 semi automatic 'Anshuzt' rifle, particularly since Jeremy himself is adamant that when he handled the family rifle on the evening of 7th August 1085, the 15 baffled parker hale silencer had been detached and was stored away inside the gun cupboard in the downstairs office. Jeremy is adamant (and I am convinced by what he has repeatedly told me on many occasions) that Anthony Pargeters .22 bolt action, 'Brno' rifle and its parker hale silencer was present inside the downstairs bathroom/toilet at the time of the shooting tragedies where it was always kept under firearm certificate terms...

Buddy who sometimes still visits this site used to often post about Pargeter's statements. Buddy tended to take a dim view of Pargeter's honesty in relation to his rifle and its detachable components. Pargeter successfully sued the Daily Sport (or was it Daily Star?) suggesting something about his rifle and the farmhouse / incident.  He also apparently met police abroad, during one of the subsequent enquiries in to the case, and is alleged to have expressed something like 'all this because of one man' s decision'?  Words along those lines. Was her referring to a decision made by DCI Thomas Jones?
It was the Sport Roch, he was awarded £40000 compensation and £60000 Costs, it seems it was a costly accusation?

Mike do you not think that silencers would be fairly interchangeable between .22 rifles.  I think it highly likely any .22 silencer will fit another .22 rifle.

It certainly does. He did alight there. I bet he was glad they made the allegation in the first place.

Yes, they are all universally threaded for that purpose, but why would somebody detach the Pargeter silencer from the barrel of his .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle and attach it to the end of the barrel of the Bamber family owned .22 semi automatic 'Anshuzt' rifle prior to, or during the shootings?

It makes no sense

Additionally, Anthony Pargeter claimed when he was interviewed by the COLP investigators,, (1990/1991) that his .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle wasn't event present at the farmhouse at the time of the shootings, adding that he had taken it home with him on the penultimate week-end before the shootings took place! I personally do not believe a word of what he said. I am satisfied that his .22 rifle and his 17 baffled parker hale silencer was there at the scene, and more importantly  that it was used to fire some of the bullets.

As a matter of interest Pargeter told the Colp investigators, that Essex police had taken an interest in his .22 'Brno' rifle, and that police at some stage checked its condition for any damage. Nobody knows which police officers looked into whether or not it contained any damage, had blood and or if it had got red or cream coloured paint upon the end of its barrel..

Pargeyer also was licensed to keep all his firearms, accessories, and variously different kinds/ type of .22 ammunition, and live 12 bore shotgun cartridge cases at whf. He even owned some Eley .22 LR subsonic, hollow point ammunition similar to the same 500 rounds of ammunition that Mr Bamber purchased in November 1984 - he also had other manufacturers .22 ammunition, such as 'Hornet', etc..

No one has looked into the possibility that some of the ammunition used to kill all the victims, belonged either entirely, or partially belonging to Anthony Pargeter...

Where was Anthony Pargeters 17 baffle plated parker hale silencer at the time the shootings occurred?

He makes no mention of this, other that to inform the COLP investigators that David Boutflour told him that Essex police handed back a silencer to relatives early in their investigation. David Boutflour on the other hand denied ever having told Anthony Pargeter any such thing. Well, one or other, or both together cannot be being truthful on that score...

It's possible, that DS Jones took Anthony Pargeters 17 baffle plated parker hale silencer from the scene on the first morning of the police investigation, and that the silencer was attached to the barrel end of his .22 bolt action 'Brno' rifle, and that both of these items were allocated the exhibit reference 'SBJ/1'. Its also interesting to note, that one of the other three items gathered or taken by DS Jones, was a photograph taken in the downstairs bathroom/toilet where Anthony Pargeters collection of rifles, shotgun, accessories, and ammunition, were usually stored, or kept and that before Jeremy stood trial that particular photograph was 'Destroyed' without any reason or explanation for doing so..

According to detective inspector Cook in a handwritten note that he forwarded to a superior officers he stated that it was an established and known fact that by exposing blood contaminated articles to superglue  vapour (cynocryolate  fumes) it was known to render any blood group evidence unreliable and yet that blood group evidence was relied upon to persuade the jury that it was Sheila Caffells blood without telling them, about the known about adverse effects duperglue treatment and any bloodstains on an item of evidential value as unreliable and worthless...
