I remember vividly on the bus home from school. People talking about it on their phones. I could only hear one side of their conversations, all I could hear was “a hijack?” “How many dead?” I then got home and turned on the TV.  :-\

We have a long history of firefighters in our family and I clearly remember the firefighters walking into that building and thinking they will never come out of that building alive.
