Here are some other pertinent facts regarding the existence, of these three different silencer / sound moderators:
At the time of the shootings at whf (7th August 1985), Jeremy told me that there were two silencers / Sound Moderators present at the farmhouse, by the time he left on the previous evening, One belonging to the family owned Anshuzt Rifle purchased by Neville Bamber on the 30th November 1984, which was purchased at Radcliffes gun shop, and the other which belonged to Anthony Pargeters .22 Brno bolt action rifle, which Pargeter had purchased in 1980, along with a very similar looking Parker Hale Silencer / Sound Moderator.
Jeremy told me that in the evening leading up to the shootings that the family owned .22 semi-automatic Anshuzt rifle did not have its Parker Hale silencer fitted to the end of the guns barrel when he handled the rifle when he went off intending to shoot rabbits that he had seen near the barn when he returned to the farm from the field with a tractor / trailer full of farming produce. This was before he subsequently left the farmhouse to go back to his cottage at 9 Head Street..
He left whf at about 9.30pm, that particular evening.
On the other hand, Anthony Pargeters .22 Brno bolt action rifle and its silencer, were normally stored under authority of a firearms certificate, inside the downstairs toilet. I am persuaded by Jeremy's say so, that his father, Neville Bamber, was the Chairman of the Witham Bench Magistrates Court, and that in keeping with his occupation that Neville Bamber would not have allowed Anthony Pargeter to take his rifle and silencer away from the farmhouse to his home in Bourne-End. This was because the terms and conditions stipulated on the firearms certificate, stated that the rifle and its accessories including any .22 ammunition, could only be used on Land owned or rented by The Bamber family (whf), and that at all times these must be kept in storage there at the farmhouse..
For the reasons given, I am certain that at the time of the shootings there were in fact two .22 rifles, and two Parker Hale silencers present at the scene of this shooting tragedy.
(A) - The Bamber owned .22 semi-automatic rifle, and its Parker Hale Silencer, and .22 ammunition purchased for use with it
The Normal place where these were kept when not in use, was inside a cupboard in the downstairs office
(B) - The Anthony Pargeter owned .22 bolt action Brno rifle, and its Parker Hale Silencer, along with a variety of .22 ammunitions
The Normal place where these were kept when not in use, was inside the downstairs toilet
It is somewhat rather telling that the locations inside the farmhouse where both of these rifles and accessories were normally kept, that something of significance occurred involving both of these locations the gun cupboard in the downstairs office and The downstairs toilet.
Since, in the scripted version of the prosecutions case, was that the crucial silencer (DRB/1) which they claim contained the blood group evidence which had the same blood group activity as Sheila Caffell (A, EAP BA, HP 2-1, and AK1) and it also had red paint particles crushed onto the knurled pattern around the outside of its metal end cap, which matched scratch marks subsequently made on the kitchen aga surround, allowing the prosecution to argue that these two pieces of forensic evidence proved that there was a silencer fitted to the murder weapon, at the time Neville Bamber was attacked and killed downstairs in the main kitchen, and that it was still on the guns barrel when Sheila Caffell was shot dead upstairs in the main bedroom. And somebody other than she, must have removed the silencer from the end of the guns barrel because with it attached it would have been impossible for her to have activated the trigger mechanism to shoot herself. She could not, as it were, had removed the silencer and taken it all the way downstairs, conceal it in a box at the back of the gun cupboard, then return all the way back upstairs, and lay down dead, as if she had taken her own life, with the Anshuzt rifle being clutched close to her chest..
