There are lots of difficult to answer issues in this case, but that isn't always unusual.
I think the biggest issue JB's defence have is that they have never had one clear strategy and claim. It's always been a series of criticisms aimed at too many folks.

A lot of relatively minor issues, but against the police, labs, media, family, gf...

It has demonstrably failed and simply hasn't persuaded the courts, nor most of the public.

Interest has increased due to the drama, but it omitted stuff from both sides, so anybody forming an opinion on the drama alone would be a fool.
