Maybe you should include yourself in that coterie:

1) Julie agreed a deal with the newspaper offering the largest sum, the News of the World, which got all other press outlets off her back. The deal in itself does not make Jeremy Bamber innocent.

2) She was the only individual on the spot who could tell the twins apart, after Colin wished to remember them as they were and refused to do it.

3) Julie was a trainee teacher and ex-grammar school pupil. She wished to avoid the situation she found herself in at all costs.

4) Maxine Carr gave Ian Huntley an alibi post-murders. Had Julie wanted a watertight case she would have stayed the night at Bourtree Cottage and told Police she was with him all night. No need in this scenario for an invented call from Nevill.

5) The relatives spoke as they found.

6) As 5)

7) Colin was told initially Sheila had committed suicide, and his words should be taken in that context of shock.

The nightie was destroyed in 1996. It should not have been but again this was not pivotal in Jeremy Bamber's conviction.

9) We don't know what wasn't disclosed. Would any of it have got Jeremy Bamber off?

10) We know Sheila had been on an emotional rollercoaster for several years but had been medicated and stabilized at the time of the tragedy, much to the chagrin of the Bamberettes.

Are you serious?
Julie Mugford the main prosecution witness was guilty of numerous crimes, 13 separate cheque frauds, robbery, and drug dealing and also making a deal with a national newspaper before trial that if she could convince a jury her ex boyfriend was guilty of five murders she would receive £25,000

And yet you managed to find some! You can't seem to see that you're completely blinkered by you hatred of Julie Mugford. You're points have been answered numerous times, but you just keep repeating the same nonsense. You're not going to be happy about the forthcoming series and I would be worried if you were.

On planet Steve if you attend grammar school you are whiter than white. Grammar school never stopped Jane Andrews and John Canan committing murders.

I don't think we'll even get a sniff of those " notes " clearly written by someone who was not in their right mind. Although, saying that, notes like that don't have to be written by a crackpot do they. They could indicate an admission of crime.

I wonder why the drama wasn't based on Roger Wilkes's book ? Was it because Wilkes was more impartial ?
Impartial is boring, isn't it ? SJ wasn't exactly a fan of the book.

For those officers who were still serving before the time the book was published,  "the official decision was not to cooperate with the book because of the complaint that JB had made against EP at the time as his attempt at appeal were still live ".

Wilkes thinks Jeremy is guilty and his book is out of date and not as comprehensive.

Hope they show him breaking into and stealing from from his parents and the holiday park? Looks like Brett Collins has got a part as well, wonder if they will show Bamber confiding with Brett, how much he hated his family?

I wonder if it'll include the threatening phone call to Nevill which was overheard by an agent of the farm property ? Also the idiot who threw bullets at Nevill's car and warned him they'd be live  ones next time ?

How about Sheila's drug debt ? It it hadn't been true CAL wouldn't have mentioned it in her book.

What was true is that it was INCORRECTLY reported in a newspaper and THAT is what CAL documented in her book.

For weeks to come, the tabloids gorged themselves on salacious stories about ‘Hell Raiser Bambi’, the ‘girl with mad eyes’, whom they claimed had been expelled from two schools before becoming a ‘top model’ with a wild social life that resulted in a £40,000 drug debt linking her to a string of country house burglaries. June Bamber, too, was condemned as a religious fanatic with little else to her character. When journalist Yvonne Roberts visited Tolleshunt D’Arcy that September for a more restrained article in London’s Evening Standard, one local told her: ‘What upsets us is that the whole family’s life has been reduced to a series of newspaper headlines. And none of them has got it right.’
