That chap lied. He'd said the " screaming and dead bodies would stay with him for a long time ". There'd have been no screaming as those poor souls would have been dead when he picked them up.

Kind of shot himself in the foot there because if he heard screaming and did nothing to help, then that's murder. I agree they must have been dead long before he picked them up. If he knew they were in there, he could have least have checked straight after leaving the port.

What gets me is that they know those parts are used for human trafficking, so why the hell don't they do more checks. Insane!

The money is borrowed on the strength that those who've crossed continents in the hope of employment will then send money home. While living here in cramped conditions, some in makeshift sheds/garages/outhouses or uninhabitable properties let out by rogue landlords.
